Hi,
I have two Calypso Coral ink pads and both stamp with little dots when I use them. Any ideas why they're like that or if it can be repaired. Unfortunately, I don't have a refill, but I really like the color and am dismayed that I can't use the pads.
Little dots? Are the dots discoloration or a physical thing like dust? If it’s the second, have you tried running a lint roller over the pad? I’ve done that with a couple of my pads that had little bits of something on them. I don’t know that it’s a great idea bit it worked for me, and I haven’t seen any change/damage to the pad afterward.
I had one like this in Cajun Craze, and it was the new high density pad!. Tried everything I could think of to get the debris off, even the using a metal ruler to try to scrap off the "pilling". Couldn't get a clean inking to save my life, so gave in and bought a new pad. Good luck!
I would contact my SU demonstrator and see if they could get a replacement through Stampin Up. I once had issues with a stamp pad in the red family and one in yellow and I was able to get free replacements. I wasn't having the same issue as you are, but a stamp pad should last years. My issue was more of a metallic looking pad that stained my stamps and didn't stamp well (like it smeared).
