I have one and like it. The quality is not as good, but it works. Just trim it really close. I have first anbd last name on mine -- but I am a demo and want name recognition.
I love mine. Yes the quality is not as great as the rest of SU stamps. But it does a nice job. I do have my first, middle inital, and last name - but that's because my sister-in-law has the same name except for her middel inital.
I wanted a "handmade" stamp, but didn't want to go throught the hassle of stamping it in a color and then having to clean it each time....by the time I remember to stamp my name on the back, I've already put everthing away.
Anyways, I went to a stamp store and bought a self inking stamp, its easier, cause when I remember to put my name on the back, I don't have to pull out a stamp pad.
It says....
Hand Stamped by:
Kim Larson
Copyright Stampin' Up!
I have one with just my first name and also a couple different address ones. I love them but you do have to be careful about getting shadows when you stamp even if you trim really close because they aren't as deep rubber impressions and the other SU stamps.

I have both a handstamped by and a personalized stamp. Neither are as good of quality as the rest of the stamps, but I think the hand stamped by IS better than the other personalized ones.
I had first and last name put on mine.

I am on my second one(no charge) because I thought mine was defective.(now feel guilty) The second one is not any better. I have trimed and inked gingerly and still do not get the quality image I would like. I think the letters could be more pronounced and maybe that would help.
That said I use it all the time. I am just very careful.
I just have Granny Hawkins on mine.

I just got the one with the leaf on it. I have my first and last name on it. (I do wish I had just gotten my first name now....but oh well!) It is not as good of quality as the other stamps as it is made at the distribution center instead of where they make all their other stamps. Also, prepare yourself the the smell....they smell really strongly. It is shallow and does not stamp as cleanly. Honestly, I am afraid to stamp it on a pretty card for fear of getting a mucked up image on my creation. I need to use it more so I am more comfortable with it. That's my 2 cents!
I have one with both my first and last name. I agree that the quality is not the same as other stamps, but I was very impressed that it came so quickly. I have never had any problems with the stamped image because I had my demo trim it for me because I had read about people having issues with them.
I do not have a hand stamped by stamp but i do have the personalized one with my name and addy. be sure to trim it close, and you have to practice because you must use just the right amount of pressure to get a good image. hth
Why just your first name? I'm being nosy. And wondering, since I'll be ordering one soon.
Oh, I don't know! I just thought when I first saw it that I should have just put my first name. Most people I send cards to know who I am. But I noticed that a lot of the cards I have gotten from ladies here have first and last. I guess it's really up to you. I am going to make an effort to stamp it on the cards I send now though.
I have the one that looks like a scroll thing on top-I do have to tap GENTLY on my pad but overall really like it. I went for 1st and last name b/c I thought the look of the stamp lent itself more to that (a bit more formal font).
I like the "finished" look it gives my cards.

I have the "hand stamped" tag stamp...both first and last name. The quality isn't as great as the other SU! stamps, but I'm still glad I ordered it. I agree with Emily....the smell is something awful and takes some getting used to.
I love to use my stamp for swaps mainly, most of the other cards I make are for friends and family that know who I am. LOL!
I have the handstamped with the tag. I love it! It is over a year old and I find the stamped image quality fine and I use it on everything. I got mine with just my first name too.
I agree with everyone! I just got mine on Friday. Not the same quality but if you cut CLOSE it works fine. I love to be able to match my ink to my card so I wouldn't want one that is self inking. I think they are fun and just think...you'll use it with EVERY card!
I bought one last year with my first & last name. I love it. It did take some time to get it trimmed so I have no edge marks. I would stamp and trim with my exacto knife until no more extra marks. Now I have no troubles (unless I stamp stupid). I just got one with Deposit Only for my checks. Just remember if you ever want to sell your SU! cards or crafts the self inking ones do not cover the angel policy.

Despite the qualilty, I am liking mine now. I only have my initials on mine. I just like it that way. I dont want it to stand out too much. I guess I'm just shy like that. Hah! A word of advice, the personalized stamps have a funky odor to them. I used to keep mine in a case but the smell never went away. Now I leave it out. No more stinky stamp now.
I love mine now that I've "fixed" it. I have the tag stamp with my first and last name.
I was getting the shadow ink spots so (because of a previous thread on this subject), I nuked the stamp ( wowzers do they get hot even in 10 seconds!!) and took the foam completely off. Then I trimmed the stamp even closer and I have just the rubber (without the foam) on the wood block. Much better. And I'm very careful when inking it just in case. I haven't had a problem with it since.
I haven't noticed any smell to mine, but it's oddly sticky!
I know a gal who ordered one for her and one for her cousin who was planning on using them as wedding invitation addresses and both were very unhappy with them and sent them back for a second font. I'll see if they like the other font any better---I am not sure since they probably just received them within the last week.
I would strongly recommend getting a BOLD font for your personalized stamp. The more script type looking fonts are fainter and don't produce as good of an image. I do agree the quality is not the same but I have the "bee" the "leaf" and the "tag". I don't much like the tag one but my leaf and bee are great and I've had no problems with either one.
I have the tag one
I have first and last name
BUT
I really recommend getting first name and phone #
I don't know if this is possible, but it would be soooo much easier for me !
as it is, I stamp this one, a 4-line one with my advert on it , and a 2-line with name ( f & l ) and #
crazy but true!
I got mine from Paper Angel -- I'm not a demo and I use it every time I stamp. It says "Created for You by First Name Last Name" in a circle around a sunflower. Excellent quality.

This is such a great idea! But instead of stamping with each of the three stamps, why not put them all on one block? Just one stamping, and you're done!
I have my first and last name on mine; also two address stamps (I use my PO Box for business and my street address for personal). I don't have any problems with the quality.
Mine are fine. I have both an address stamp and the Hand Stamped Decorative Design because I thought it looked like a crown. I only used my first name on the Hand Stamped, because my full name would have been too long. I had seen the suggestion to use all caps when you do the personalized, I did and mine is fine.
Why is that? I don't sell mine, I was just wondering.
In order to meet SU!'s requirement to sell your cards or crafts you must purchase one of the angel stamp sets on pg 190 or personalized ones on pg 199 column c. The cards must be stamped with one of these stamps or the craft must have a tag attached in order ton legally sell them. If you do not sell them it does not matter what you use.

I have one of the personalized ones. I agree with everyone else, the quality isn't as nice as the regular stamps. I do have one with my first & last name. I use it all the time. I find that I don't always know if I'm going to sell a particular card until the moment. When I'm creating a card, I make sure I have my personal stamp out too.
I got the first and last name leaf stamp. Really do not like the quality. And I was EXTREMELY upset that they only use CAPITAL letters for the names. My last name is DeMonge...not DEMONGE. I would have thought that since SU! does their stamp making in-house that they could have a better quality and the ability to print the stamper's name like it really is!!

I have the Decorative Design with just my first name. No last name because I'm the only "Patra" that my friends, family, acquaintances & customers know!

Thanks - It looks to me its just another way to buy their stamps - don't get me wrong, I love SU, but if you purchase a self inking stamp that has the exact info as the ones they have in their catty - minus a picture, what is the difference.
A bit off topic, but I just had a call from demo support telling me that the one line stamps come only with LETTERS. I cannot get the stamp my customer wants with her first and last name because her last name is O'Neil and they can't make the apostrophe. How weird is that!?
