I have a few older HTF SU sets that I just don't use any longer. I was thinking of selling them BUT I don't know if I should sell them on Ebay or if I should post them elsewhere, like SCS's selling forum. I know it is more of a personal preference but I just can't decide where to post them. Any personal opinions?

Personally I'd go with eBay. You'll get a higher return there than you will here. Research how much your sets got using the completed listings feature. Here, you run into those who aren't willing to pay premium for a sought after set. (And I bet more than a few would turn around and list it themselves after getting it for a good price here!)
Why sell yourself short when you can get top $$ on eBay?
I think it kind of depends on the sets. Some are just more in demand than others. On the BST boards here, you can sometimes get full value, while on ebay, someone is usually looking for a deal. If it's a highly sought after set, it may get more for you on ebay. You should look up past selling prices (completed listings) for the sets you want to sell on ebay to see about what the going price is.
That was going to be my next question..How do you price them. I am so bad at setting prices for things. I guess I am going to have to do a bit of research before I list any of them anywhere.

Go to ebay and do an advanced search and look at completed listings only and set your price according to that info.

I almost always start my listings at .01. I usually always end up with TONS of watchers and bidders because I start out small. Plus the fees for listing are cheaper the smaller you start out. It's a gamble, but I can honestly say I've never had an auction that I was disappointed in...
I agree, if it's a HTF set stick with ebay...only because alot of people go there to look for *certain* sets and are willing to pay higher prices for them....but, you can always do research on ebay first, then try offer it here for the price you want for free. That way if it doesn't sell, then switch it to the bay. Here you don't have to pay fees...good luck.. by the way, which ones are you selling??

LOL No rolly eyes needed, I was thinking I should have specified which sets I was wanting to sell of before I asked HOW to sell them. I have been looking at my stack of sets I don't use and I think I can sell a few of them without too much pain  They are: Dreams and Dragons, English Cottage and Somebunny Special. There are more I could sell just because they gather more dust than ink I'm sure.....I will have to sit down and decide on the rest of them. Some I want to keep just to keep, KWIM? Like What's Moo and Bow Wow and Wolf..I don't use them much but I can't part with them yet

Dreams & Dragons is HOT on the bay!
I would have to agree with the previous poster and start your auctions low. It does create a buzz and establishes early bidding activity and excitement. I use this technique and have not been disappointed. (I am not a demo and do sell stamp sets..., but this same philosophy works for baby clothes and baskets! )
I'm afraid I'm going to be one of the demos that won't be able to sell retired sets either! I know we won't be able to demo with them anymore, but I'll be able to make cards and sell them at craft shows, or just look at them sitting pretty on the shelf! I think of it as my kids' inheritance!
I agree the Dreams and Dragons set is super hot on eBay.
I have friends who sell on eBay and there are things you can do that will lessen your chances to get ripped off. For instance, one of my pals will not accept bids from potential buyers who have less than 50, or 40..etc feedback. Or, if there are too many negative feedback, they will also not accept bids. My vote is to sell your sets on eBay.

I would definitely do your homework on ebay to guesstimate what your sets might fetch. Definitely plan on putting D&D up, lol. I don't recognize the others, even though I've been stamping with SU for over a decade.
Knowledge is power though, it's always best to start out with as much info as you can get. Good luck!
Dreams and Dragons is rare, and will fetch a high price. You could list it for what you paid for it (or more) on Buy It Now if you wanted to, and I think you would get a buyer. Just my 2 cents.
I tried to sell sets on ebay before that were oversaturated, and I would have gotten more here on the forums. But Dreams and Dragons should fetch a good price.
