Paying/shipping Question

I have a quick question. After you buy something online how soon afterwards are they supposed to ship it?

far far FAR too many varaibles.

is it somebody working out of their garage in their spare time? or an established vendor? are they on vacation( most good ones will tell you somewhere on the site if they are going to be away and unable to fill orders) did you pay by check or paypal or credit card?

does the vendor hold everything untill all items are in stock? Inclduing pre orders and back orders?

I would say 7 working days is sufficient to be sent out so tack on another 5-7 working days for delivery. Most of the people I deal with send order confirmation and then delivery confirmation. One vendor holds everything til stuff is in stock( but you knwo this before placing the item in your cart)

I do not normally wait more than ten days if everything is in stock fromt he two places I order from most frequently( MFT and 7kids)

Ideally, they'd ship same day or next business day depending on what time you place the order. Now does that always happen? Not enough! Sounds like you've ordered something from somewhere and they're taking their sweet old time mailing it to you.

I make it a point to ship orders within 24 hours except, like Mrsjvb said, if I'm on vacation (and I always give plenty of notice!) or unless it is Saturday, since there is no postal service the next day.

Most stores have a shipping policy posted on their site.

I always ship within a day. Unless I am away... I always have a message unless there is an emergency that I will ship all orders when I am away on what date they will ship.
I am an impatient person and want my stuff now..so I understand it should ship fast. I placed a large order with PTI yesterday and want it NOW...lol
