Greetings everyone! The purpose of this thread is to say Thank You to the person who provided the lovely crafting item in the Pay It Forward thread. Feel free to chatter here on this thread and leave the Pay It Forward thread for the items that are being given away.
I agree! Having this thread for thank you's, chatter, updates, etc. will make it easier for the PIF thread to have just postings of goodies looking for a new home
I went through some of my stamping stuff over the holiday weekend and will post some goodies soon.

Thank you Lisa for starting this thread!
Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe and warm!
I plan on sharing some things after life settles back down a little and I get caught up on some things. I just finished making some kitty toys for some of my friends. We haven't been able to get together to see each other for Christmas yet due to the weather, so that gave me time to make more toys.
It is supposed to start warming up here tomorrow, and I am so looking forward to it!

Haven't been around for a while, so was surprised with the change. At first I wasn't sure, but I'm warming up to it. Preparing to disappear again for a while as five of the next six days we will be getting rain!!! What a glorious way to start the new year. I've never been one to do resolutions, but my sister gifted me a beautiful planner that I believe will help me use my supplies equally and consistently, as well as stay on top of my creative goals with a lot less angst. I'm a Gemini, so it may get a bit tricky, although when I see progress, it's full steam ahead! I do hope everyone has a lovely weekend and a 2023 of peace, contentment and loads of creativity!
Right after I mailed my Christmas cards this year, I started making next year's cards. I find that this has worked in the past as I am in the Christmas mood then. I have over 30 cards made, sentiments on the inside and envelopes decorated for each of them. I am going into 2023 with a little less stress. I am starting on birthday cards. I have been using what I have and I have making a list of necessities as I go along so when I place an order, I know what I really need.

How smart and organized you are. I'm working on February birthdays right now. For such a short month, I have the most birthdays---13 for just family and then there are 5 close friends. May seems to be a busy month!!!

It seems that most of the chatter is happening in the main PIF thread, so I’m posting this to bump it up as a reminder to everyone that this new thread is available for the chatter.

Leibetty and lovinpaper - thanks so much for the PIFs!
I will be taking pictures and posting my PIF soon
Pam, I was thrilled that you are able to use them. They have been sitting in my closet for a few years and needed to be used. I look forward to seeing your creation.

Thanks for bumping it up! I admit to having forgotten that it existed until this week. I was so used to chatting on the main PIF thread that it slipped my mind.
Brrrr...it's been such a cold winter for us that I've started drinking hot tea every night, just to thaw out as I get on the computer. I hate turning on the heat, but this is getting ridiculous, ha! Probably not even cold to many of you in other areas of the country (I'm in California, in the Bay area) but it's cold for me. Yes, I'm a wimp.
Karen
A big Thank you to Lercy and Teri on this thread also! The mail you sent is so appreciated! So fun to play with crafty goodies!
Hi Chris,
Just wanted to say thank you for the heart tags, the magical stamp sentiment and Santa die. I also LOVE your Candy cane card. The background paper, the stamps and the twine all combine beautifully. What fun to get happy mail when I returned from my trip away with friends.
Karen
Lisa, I got your bunny and tree die cuts! Thank you so much! Bunnies are so cute!
Thank you Kazeka! I am so happy you like my card! I've got to get some cards made; got birthdays coming up soon.

Lorraine, Thanks for letting me know that you got them! So happy that she will like them!
Pat, I got your stamp today! Thank you so much! So different to get a gift from someone on their birthday, and that was very kind of you! I will definately enjoy them! Already imagining what I can make with them!
Teri, I got your stamp also! I think they will make some beautiful backgrounds and cards!
Getting ready to take a pic of some things I can offer!
So happy I got a little housework done today; hoping I have enough time and energy left to play in my craft room!
Thanks for posting a link, Lisa. I did not know about this one. I was following the conversation in the other one and didn’t know what others were talking about more than one PIF thread. LOL
I just want to say that if when you comment there is a place to say you want email, then you never loose it. Or, if you don’t want the email , you just come right to my subscriptions, when you get on SCS.. If you have too many subscriptions, clean out or delete ones you aren’t interested in anymore. Like, every time I post a card to a daily challenge, I am subscribed automatically to that thread. So at the end of the day, I delete all those subscriptions. I try to keep mine to 20 or one page. However, during VSN or DTGD or Falliday, that is more difficult!
Sharon, I go through my subscriptions weekly, if I remember, or every few weeks. Then I delete the ones I do not want notifications for. I keep ones I want to easily find again and change those to No Notifications. I just want to easily refer back to them without scrolling through many threads looking for them.
Edited to add that posting this didn’t automatically subscribe me. I had to click on the drop down subscribe link under Thread Tool. Maybe those of you trying to subscribe should also click on the subscribe link. I don’t get automatic subscriptions on anything I post except for those few I have purposely subscribed to. Maybe it is determined according to settings on my account. I don’t know. But this works for me.

Click on Thread Tools in the upper right.
Then click on Subscribe.
Then click on a confirmation link—I’ve forgotten what words are on it—maybe Subscribe.
Three clicks is what worked for me.
Update: My updates for this thread aren’t working either, even after subscribing. Maybe that will change tomorrow. Today is Sunday. I don’t know whether moderators approve subscriptions. Maybe? Or maybe there is still a glitch?

I am procrastinating. When we got home from church a neighbor called and we went walking. Then I fixed dinner, did dishes. I fixed a cup of hot tea and sat down. Now , after watching several you tube card and junk journal videos, I am on Splitcoast. I don’t get notifications except for threads I started. The rest, I just check on in my subscriptions. I think I spend more time on SCS sometimes than I do crafting! LOL. Not really . To my credit I made 9 Christmas cards yesterday using a sketch from Sheetloads of Cards by Crafty Al. Helps to use up all that DSP I am hoarding! LOL
Oh wow Sharon. You are running circles around me. Fixed lunch, but I haven't done the dishes yet. Read my Bible, but haven't listened to the church program on t.v. yet. Fed the kitties, scooped the boxes etc.. Put flea stuff on the kitties. Piddled on the computer.
That sounds like a great way to make cards. That is a lot of cards! Awesome!
Linda, Hope you can get it figured out. Sounds like you need to click on a daily option as Sharon mentioned.
I really like Crafty Al, Sharon. Have fun with the layouts.
I stamped a few images, colored with a Gina K video, made dinner, getting my BRAK list and will be resting for the rest of the evening. I may go clean my craft area a bit, but it may just wait.
I watch Gina K. from time to time too. Sounds like you had a creative day! I ended up having to lay down from not feeling well for some time, but better now. That's not unusual though. Working on dishes during commercials. Was going to start getting PIFs ready to send, but remembered tomorrow is President's Day, so I assume the mail doesn't run. Maybe I'll get a chance to work on them later.
What is BRAK? I probably know, but my brain isn't remembering it right now. Random Acts of Kindness?
I have to check out this Crafty Al. Sounds neat!

Hi Chris,
Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well but I hope you're feeling better now. I've been down with a bad cold for over a week now, and it set off my asthma, so had a few rough days of it but am starting to feel human again. Thank goodness for a stack of libary books to keep me entertained!
By the way, the BRAK group is the Birthday RAK group, which sends out birthday cards. You sign up to send out as many or as few cards as I like, each month, and are sent a list of names and addresses. It's a great way to use those extra birthday cards you always have around, and when it's your birthday you get a TON back!!
Thank you so much for the Halloween goodies PIF that you sent to me. It arrived earlier this week and I'm finally getting on the computer to let you know. Love the cute stickers and fun washi tape strips.
Karen
Oh good, Thanks for letting me know you got them and can use them! I'm sorry to hear you've been so sick! Hope you will be all well very soon! I'm glad you've got some books that you are enjoying!
Mine is just the usual chronic illness stuff; not unusual for me to have to lay down for a while once or even multiple times a day. I'm sure you understand about that sort of thing, as I know you have some issues too. I'm sorry to hear that the bad cold set off your asthma. Glad to hear that it is settling down. I've never had asthma, but it sounds like it could be really scary at times. (((BIG HUGS!)))
Got all of the dishes done except for the Instant Pot. I've got it soaking. I think getting that washed is all I'm going to manage for today.
With the Birthday Random Acts of Kindness, you can decide if you wish to send internationally or not. I choose to only send USA as I do not keep as many international postage stamps on hand. I have participating for a few years now and I tend to have birthday cards on hand. Sometimes I take a card that is not birthday and use it for a birthday card. Hello cards work well for this.
I am using my colored pencils and Gamsol, which is why I was watching Gina's video again. It has been a long time, so I needed a refresher. Now I need to find my bottle of Gamsol. I keep some in a jar with a sponge and it could use a refresher.
