Default Papertrey May Release

Last month we had a really fun thread where we discussed the release and posted all the little things that some of us may have not picked up on.

So...what do you think the colors will be this month? We got the greys last month.

Has anyone seen anything interesting in the posts?

Didn't they announce browns this month? Or did I dream that?

I want a dark, navy (patriotic) blue!!!! So, Murphy's Law says that PTI will NOT be releasing that blue.

Oh, Sophie, I want that too!! Navy is such a classic and combines so well with other colors ~ it's the 'new black'!! I'd like another blue, too... haven't figured out how to describe it though.

I do like the little tea dye combo - curious to see if it really does apply a little differently than 'typical' inks.

I was looking this morning too...I have a lot of stuff in my cart...ready to push that order button but want some of the new stuff...why do they torture us by not telling us what the colors are first...lol

The way it was described as being spongey, it seems like it's going to be more like chalk ink, which I do love for inking edges.

I'm intrigued by the text background stamps.

And I can't believe no one on the design team has shown Lauren's new template box made to look like an vintage tv. Can't you just see it with brown wood grain on the outside layer, with a stamped "tv show" in the middle?

I saw a bunch of red buttons on Debbie's blog, so maybe we're getting Pure Poppy buttons this month. That would be cool for Memorial Day and FOJ.

I placed two orders last week, agh! Should have held out a few more days, but that's ok - I love the Guide Lines Two set that I got. Anyway, I'm interested in seeing what the stars and the firecracker sets look like. The birds are pretty but I already have a bunch of birds.

I'm thinking a nice darker blue would be great, especially with the patriotic sets coming out!

I know what you mean - I've placed orders within a couple of weeks of a release, too, and then again at release. Hey... if ya need it, ya need it, right?!

I didn't think I'd want the stars because I have some from Verve, but did you notice the nice font mix-up on the sentiments? I'm interested in seeing more of it.

I love birds and have a lot, too, so this will have to be extra special, I think.

The text backgrounds totally caught my eye! And I am hoping for a darker blue, too. Even if not this month, sometime in the near future. I love the Spring Rain, blue, but find myself needing a darker, deeper blue sometimes. I'd think with stars and fireworks for some of the stamps, blue might be a possibility!

Oh, I would love red buttons! I just got the green ones to start on my Christmas cards, so red would be a nice addition. And I agree with the patriotic set you would think there would be a darker blue to go with it.

Those buttons are just beautiful. I love them already! I'm not crazy about the bird set, though.

There was a navy blue on today's preview and i got all excited - but it's SU not quite navy! LOL.

Let Freedom Ring is the name of the firecracker set. I like that it's $15.

Well, I'm bummed.

I like the yellow and berry sorbet buttons, but I hate that Moss color and more neutrals. Blah!!!

I want COLORS. Pretty, summery, vivid, luscious colors. They could have spread out the two neutral releases between some colors, don't ya think?

Oh, and I hate birds. I think they are creepy. So I guess this is a good month for my budget.

I haven't bought from PTI in months -- I keep waiting to see what the next month's release is to see if I like it better than what's in my cart. So silly! But now it's definitely time to place an order! I really like the stars, and the text background. Still have to get Guidelines 2, and the pack of mixed cardstock. And the white ink. I wasn't thinking of the patriotic set but after this morning's peek I think I might need that one too!

I had the same thought. I just did not think I would use it much, but after seeing all those different projects and the fact it is only $15 means I will probably have to get it. And love those wooden buttons.

Hi all,

Sorry to post here and bother you, but I've never ever bought PTI before and had a question before checking out. Do you know if they ever have "coupons" for like 10% off for example? Didn't want to check out then find out that such coupons/offers exist with PTI. I know there's other companies that do offers from time to time and wondered if PTI do at all? Also, how good/fast is delivery - does anyone know roughly how long it takes from Ohio to California for example? I know they say they ship 48 hours after order, so wondered when I'd expect it.

Many thanks,

babybluegirl

Nichole just confirmed on the PTI forums that the Vintage Touch collection is the new color scheme for the month. So no blue! :(

babybluegirl - I've never seen a coupon. Just free shipping on orders over $55. Also, shipping is usually pretty speedy. I placed two orders last week, one on Tuesday, one on Friday - they both arrived yesterday. I'm in Florida.

Thank you for your reply Since waiting for a reply, my wish list is getting bigger! Can anyone confirm if:
Simple Alphabet is a good buy - I've been reading mixed reviews on SCS about it being too tiny that it's frustrating to use and that it doesn't line up straight/well?!? Is this just down to the crafter or is it really a nightmare stamp set not worth buying?

Many thanks for reading.

Sorry for my PTI ignorance, but can you only buy PTI online? Or can you buy them from certain shops in America?

Thanks for reading.

I don't like my Simple Alphabet for making words, I can't get it lined up well. I do use it for monograms, though. I guess it depends on what you wnat it for as to whether it will work for you.

I purchased the set and was afraid to use it for a long time!! But I made my brothers save the dates with it. It did take some time to get the letters lined up and it helps to use a block with lines. When I thought I had it lined up I would ink it up and would have to made some adjustments. I love the set and am happy that I purchased it!

I smiled when I read your last sentence! I always figure a new release is a win ~ it's either something I'll love, or I'll save money LOL!!

I'm bummed about the blue :(. It's an area that's lacking and I hope it comes soon. I love colors, too, and I like their cardstock so I'd like to use it whenever possible.

That said, I will try another neutral and those wooden buttons are the coolest thing I've seen in awhile ~ that will be worth staying up for as I think they will sell out the first day if they are not really well-stocked!

I love birds and these are okay - but graphic birds are not really my style. Still quite curious to see the entire 'firecracker' set (I have the BG Basics Stars, so this might be sort of repetitive) and the text backgrounds.

Always good to see more colors of buttons! I need to find a way to store them, but for some reason I've been using buttons a LOT. I like the jute, too!

I, too, am disappointed that they seem to only be doing neutrals this month. I am not a neutrals person -- I want color!!

I still love them and their products and can't wait to see the new sets!

I do wish they were releasing some colors but have to admit that I'm totally IN LOVE with the two new whites! I was hoping for a surprise tomorrow of more colors but a previous poster said Nichole confirmed the whites were it this month.

- loving the new white cardstock
- loving the wooden buttons
- excitedly waiting to see the new 'flourish' set
- already have a stars set so no need to purchase patriotic set
- bird set design too contemporary for me.

I was reeeeally hoping for new colors, 'real' colors, not neutrals. :( OTOH, I am so excited that the Spring Moss buttons are coming out, that is by FAR my favorite color from PTI!
Not crazy about any of the stamps sets, although I have to see more of the flourish. I will probably get Scattered Showers from last months release.
Not crazy about wood buttons.
LOVE the twine.
Intrigued by the Distress cubes, may try those.

Loving the bird sets!!! I have a weak spot for birds and bird houses. Not too fond of the neutrals as I have so much. It may be just a stamps order for me this month. My wallet is sure not complaining!
