Default Paper Trimmer: Tonic 12" or MM Rotary

If you were buying a new paper trimmer, would you get the Tonic with the 12" base or the Making Memories Rotary Trimmer? I really want one with a 12" base.

Casting my vote for the MM trimmer. Love that thing so much more than the old Fiskars trimmers I used for too long!

tonic. Have both the 6 inch base and the 12 inch base and of course the little mini tonic. I adore all of them..Use my 12 x 12 more often and my baby tonic for almost every card! the 6 x 12 stays upstairs for when I need to cut things upstairs..lol

I actually have both. The mm is pretty good, but I do like the tonic better. I am on my 2nd mm one, the numbers are wearing off of the 2nd one. I got the 2nd one free because the numbers were wearing off.

I have the MM one and love ALMOST everything about it. It's sturdy, cuts very clean lines and "shaves" slivers off easily. The thing I don't like is that it is designed so that you can't see measurements if you want to cut a strip anything under 1 inch because of the clear guard. I actually bought a tonic rotary one but haven't really starting using it too much yet.

Go for the tonic, I bought the MM first (didn't work well for me) then I tried the tonic....no going back!

I have both the large tonic and the mini. Wouldn't trade them for the world. They cut like no other!

Tonic! Not only does it work, but there are no rotary things to replace or misplace.

I have the MM one and love it, but I also have a preference of rotary over guillotine... so whatever style YOU prefer would probably be best.

I actually have both -- and several other paper cutters.

They're both great cutters. I like them both and use both. At heart, I'm really a rotary lovin' gal but that Tonic trimmer is awesome! I think it's really just a matter of your personal preference. Do you like using a rotary or guillotine trimmer?

I like guillotine, although it's not a huge preference. I just think the choppers cut better. The downside to the Tonic for me is that I will have to order on-line. MM I could just grab at M's with a coupon.
