I have been browsing this site all summer since becoming an SU demo in May. I have ventured into the world of using paint chips on my cards. I have searched and searched through the gallery using the search in the upper right hand corner, but each time it comes back as "not containing any images." I've used "paint chip, paint chips, paint chip samples, and am still not getting any hits...
Help! I'm stuck
I have some on my gallery, just go to members galleries and type in butterflygirl and I have some examples there...warning though they are highly addictive and your paint store will wonder where all there chips went, lol! :o Lisa
Thanks girls...I kept putting my search in quotes  ...not the way to do it here! The wheels are turning...now I have to get to work!!
Happy Thanksgiving...I love the wreath card!
You know, I have been collecting these, first drawn to them by the vast array of colors, and putting them in a drawer. I started cutting them with MS border punches and loving the results. So glad I have found this thread. Great cards in the gallery.
I'm currently taking continuing ed ceramics classes. Last spring I made a bunch of test tiles with different glaze colors on various underglazes to get a variety of colors. In my ceramics notebook I've picked out paint chips that most closely match the colors in the test tiles, and I'm going to make a paper mosiac out of the paint chips, then make the real thing in ceramic tiles to make mosaics and tile installations for different parts of my house. Paint chips can be useful! I've made collages with them in the past. It's fun to punch holes and shapes out of them and layer them over different colors. "Pulled into the Future" at the top of this page is one - Collage Art Work
If you scroll down to the bottom and click the brain graphic you'll see another one.
Whw ! I'm not the only one ! Came home yesterday with a huge stash of paint chips and wallpaper samples. Some of the paint chips are HUGE ! I even found some that are peel and stick.
