Where in orlando will you be staying? I can give you some resources. PS. Its beatiful here-bring some short sleeves and capri's with you. Sorry to all the northeners.
I went to a pretty good store when I was in Orlando for convention. It was called Stamp Asylum, I think. Wish I could remember the street names, but it wasn't too far from International Blvd. It was on a street about 5 miles away...I remember that. It had an ad in one of the free magazines for a free gift, which was a small stamp pad like a SU stampin spot.

Here is one. I haven't been yet but a friend of mine has visited-she was in stamping heaven.. Their prices are similar to Michaels yet no coupon. Stampin Up prices are the best-hands down but if you need a unique or special stamp-this is your place. Send me in PM ifyou need specifics on directions.
One of my favorite stores is Impressions from the Heart in Casselberry. It would be within the hour drive you are looking for. Not knowing exactly where you will be, I can't give you a specific time, but here is their address and phone number:
Impressions From The Heart
2501 Howell Branch Road
Casselberry, Florida 32707
407-671-1008
It is the cutest store I have seen in a long time. It would be worth your drive if you have the time. The women who work there are awesome.
I have also been to Stamp Your Art Out as previously mentioned. It is definitely overwhelming and they have something for everyone. However, it's not the friendliest place around. Don't expect any bargains, just loads and loads of stamps and scrapbook supplies. It would probably be worth a look just for the experience.
There is one other one located off of I-4, but the name has slipped my mind at the moment. Once I remember, I'll post again.
Regardless of where you go, enjoy your trip! The weather is outstanding and will be for the next several weeks.

I went to Stamp Your Art Out while we were in Orlando in November. I agree it wasn't the friendliest stamp store I've ever been to. It also seemed damp inside the store and their paper selection just didn't seem clean. They had several tables full of stamps in addition to the ones on the shelves and was a little disorganized. However, I did find some unique stamps I hadn't seen before so I'd still recommend going.
Impressions from the Heart Stamp Store is only 15 min. from where we will be in Orlando. We definitely will be visiting there! Also, we will visit Stamp your Art Out, too. We have never been in a large stamp store.
If you're staying on Semoran you may be near Impressions from the Heart. It's located at the intersectin of Semoran (Hwy 436) and Howel Branch.
The other store nearby is called Sentiments. It's at I-4 and Hwy 434; maybe a 30 minute drive (with no traffic) from Impressions.
I've been to both stores and LOVE Impressions and Senitments. I've also been to Stamp Your Art Out. I agree with the other comments here - they aren't the friendliest folks. But they do have TONS of stamps. I rarely go there because I prefer to spend my money where the owners appreciate me!
There is another store I haven't been to yet, but my stamping friends tell me it's WONDERFUL. It's called Stamping Station (I found info on the net-copied here).
Stamping Station

I live in Mount Dora and the stamping station is WONDERFUL. If you are staying on Semoran near I-4, it would be about a 30 minute drive and well worth it!
Hey Joan, one more bit of advice.. if possible stear clear of Semoran (also called 436) in the early AM and in the aftertoons between 5-6.. We don't want you wasting your vacation sitting in your car due to traffic. Have a safe trip to the Sunshine State!

I loved this store, nice selection of stamps, excellent paper, creative handmade samples to ooh & aah over and very helpful staff. Classy store. I got some die cut pyramid boxes from here and they have others as well. If you google Sentiments Orlando Fl a yahoo map will come up, plus other links to stamp stores in Florida. Hope this helps.
I have been to a store in Winter Park, Florida (located just north of Orlando) called Stamp Cabana. It is located on Park Ave. (a really cool shopping district in general). I loved the store. They had lots of great stamps, paper and accessories. The last time I was there was about 2 years ago when we were visiting family and I assume the store is still there. Based on where you'll be staying, you will be close to Winter Park.
Thank you all so much for all of your stamp store (and traffic) tips. I'm in the process of printing out maps and driving directions. Our DH's are very understanding that stamp shopping is an integral part of our vacation.
