I'm trying to get all my supplies out where I can see them (ribbon in jars, etc). DS is currently eating baby food, so I have a TON of jars. I have all the Making Memories eyelets and currently they are in fishing lure boxes. I was thinking of putting them in baby food jars, but rather than wasting one jar per color, I was thinking about putting them together. DH didn't like the idea, he said they looked fine how they are (what does he know right?) So I thought I'd ask you ladies  How do you store your eyelets?
I like everything divided by color for easieraccess. I mainly scrapbook and the last think I wanted was another "box" of some kind to carry with me with embellishments. So here is what I came up with. Very spacesaving.
very cool - the baggies on the rings! I do have mine al together in a flat clear box. I can pull out the ones I want with my paper piercer really easily and don't mind at all that they are mixed - works great for me. I have them in two different ones, though. One of neutrals/metals and another of colored
I have mine sorted by color in two rectangle containers with dividers. I put them in the order of the rainbow... (With pinks near the red, etc.) I think you'll save yourself a LOT of time later if you have the colors sorted. Plus, what if you have similar colors, yet there's still a slight difference and you accidentally use each color? I'd be banging my head on the wall if I did that. (Especially after working so hard on the card.)
I even sort my clothes closet by the colors of the rainbow. It makes it so much easier to find the color shirt I want to wear. For some reason, however, I have about 20 white t-shirts. (They must multiply like the pennies in my purse.)
I am using a nail/screw bin? You can buy them at Home Depot, Target or Wal-mart. They a hard plastic. Mine is a medium color gray but I have seen them in other colors. It has 30 small see though draws and I store all of my eyelets and brads in those. Than it has 9 larger draws that are also see through and I use that for my small embellisments.I have another bin like that but it is half the size and I store all kinds of embellishments in that. These are probably the best organizers I have in my room for small things. I use decorative baskets to store things becuase I can see what is inside of them and it makes my room look nice. I store things like stamps that are already stored in boxes and my sizzix dies. I use the vertical paper holders so that I can see my papers better and it gives me more room. My looses stamps are stored every where. But I have a lot of them displayed on my walls in antique printers trays and cheese boxes. So I can see them right away and my rooms looks and feels more organized. The rest of them are stored in the large 3 draw bins that you can get at Wal-mart. The other thing that I have lots of are the small 3 draw bins that I bought at Wal-mart. I have embellishments and color markers in those. I labeled each one so I would know at a glance what is where. Whew! How is that for starters? I hope I was able to give you some ideas.

I did the same thing. I got those little plastic desktop drawers units with 3 drawers. Found mine in the office dept. of Walmart. I ended up buying 6 of them, but have ALL my embellishments sorted by color (the small items like eyelets, brads and buttons are stored in little bags each bag containing the same items) and then put in the appropriate color drawer. My ribbons are wound on either floss cards or wooden clothespins. All my red and pink embellishments are in one drawer, the next drawer has all my yellow embellishments, next drawer orange etc., etc. till I have covered every color of the rainbow plus black, brown and white. Then I have a drawer for embellishments that are multicolored - like ribbon with different colors and I also have drawers for silver, gold, and clear. In organizing my supplies I decided to look at how I go about making a card or SB page and realized that I think in terms of color, so this system works great for me.
I store all mine in Stampin' Store containers (since most of my 'bellies are from SU) and the rest I bought extra sets of the SnS containers and the black Stampin' Stacks to put them all in their own containers.
I LOVE having them this way - makes it way easier to find what I need (and I labelled the sides of them too so it's easier to see and grab what I want).

I love this idea Paula. Where did you get your little bags?
I store my brads and eyelets in these small round containers that screw together in a tower. I baught them at the dollorama and I think they were called pill containers. I also got a larger size that I store my ribbon in.
I love the plastic bags on a ring and I'll use thins idea to store other little charms and such.
Several of you have asked where you can find the little baggies. You can get them at Hobby Lobby of Michael's. I think they are usually in the beading section. They are sold in lots of 50 or 100.
I like AmyR's idea - and Cynamom's. I buy all my eyelets from SU - they come in the containers that pop right into my Stamp n Store. Easy as that - all organized! I even buy extra little containers (or use the empty ones after all my buttons, beads and eyelets are used up) to put my non-SU brads, buttons, and beads in.
I love the baggie idea! I store my ribbon in the clear boxes that SU sells - like what your stamps come in. You can put several different ribbons in one box. All you do is punch a hole in the side of the box and then pull part of the ribbon out. You can see how much ribbon you have, it's easy storage, and easy to pull and cut! I'm not great at explaining it, but will you tell you that it really works nicely.
hehehe, well, ummm, I just throw all mine in together in one "film canister" but then I am just starting out and I really don't have too many. I really love the small ziplock bag and ring idea -- I think I will give that a try.
I like the tic tac container idea, but where to get the containers if you don't eat the candy??
I found mine in the craft section of Walmart where they have the beads. It is a larger plastic box that is filled with these tic tac containers. I can't remember the price, but it was probably around $5 and contains 24 tic tac containers.
I got an organizer at Michaels for about $5! Works great! I keep buttons, brads, and eyelets in it! Sort them by colors and shapes! Has tons of room, doesn't take up much space, and just works!
Hope you find a solution that works for you!!

I store my ribbons and large embellishments in mason jars by color. The color jars are on the bottom shelf and the black/white/gold/silver jars are on the desk in the rack. Buttons and small misc embellies I put in film canisters in the jars of that color. Eyelets and brads I keep separate because I use them more often. I would like to get the new SU ribbon storage for my ribbon spools and for my brads and eyelets.

Me too AND me too!!!! I thought I was the only one who hangs up clothes that way! REI has some cool storage containers in their camping section. Save a bunch of those plastic baby food tubs. They are wonderful for pre made embellisments. I like to make bees or butterflies, colored & CE & then I have them handy to pop on a card.
I started off with baby food jars, but moved to the fishing tackle type container. I found that I liked having the colors sorted, and the baby food jars were taking up much more room than the plastic sorter/container thingie. Those baggies on the link are neat, you never run out of room, just add a baggie if you get a new embellishment. But, I think the thing I like the best about the fishing tackle sorter/container is that I can see everything that I have available at a glance.
I don't know if anyone has seen these, but I love them. With a 5 & 2 year old it also helps to keep them from getting into stuff. They also have one in a canvas tote that's easy to transport.

Wow, that is a really great idea! I think I have some of those little zip lock baggies that I purchased a long time ago for a project. I'm going to dig those out and start sorting. Thanks for sharing!
I use the tic tac containers. They come in a clear plastic box and there are 24 containers to a box. I get them at Wal-Mart. I think they are 3.99 or 4.99, which I think, is a great deal for 24 containers. Plus the boxes themselves stack very nicely.

I have some of thes and just love them. They are good for the bigger brads and things you might have. Got them on sale at JoAnnes. My smaller things are in the tic tac type containers mentioned already sorted by color. I got mine at WalMart. Great price for all you get!!

Thanks SO much for this idea. I totally did it last night. I now have all my embellishments on a ring. I also put all of my SU ribbon (I just have 2 yards of each color from a swap) into baggies and they are on a ring. The rest of my ribbon is in color coded mason jars, but most of that is sewing ribbon that I occasionally steal for cards.
I separate mine by colour. I use pill containers to store them. I found ones at the dollar store that have morning, noon, evening and night compartments for the seven days of the week. Seven sections across the top and four down. Inside the case, each setion of four is removable and within that four, each time slot opens up. They are a perfect size-not too big-and cheap! I have separate ones for brads of various sizes and all my other small bits and pieces.

This is how I store mine!
