Okay, so I have seen the summer mini. There is a label on page 7 with the bike in it. Does any one know where they got that label from cuz it is really cute and I figure it is either a punch or a Big Shot thingy. I do not know why I am obssessed with it, but that is just who I am.
They used Lots of Tags sizzlets die. It is a 4 pack and on page 197 of the current big catalog. They are $21.95 for the set.
Trina,...must be a guy thing my DH was on the 8 year program also,...it will be 20 years of wedded bliss on April 21,...it was 84 that day and snowed 2" while we were in Fl.
Thanks for the hot tip, MSU/SUM,...GREAT!!!

I went to the Gallery, but could not find a link to an SU Only page. Can you please tell me where it is? Thanks a bunch! LM :-)

For those who are looking for SU cards, do you look at the SU Only Gallery? Go to the Gallery, click on SU Only page, then you'll see the latest 4 uploads at the top of the page. Click "more", then you'll see the most recent SUO uploads. I'm sure you know that the SU Gallery is organized by stamp set name! In early April, be watching for samples done with NEW PRODUCT from the Summer Mini (available to customers on May 1st) - it's an AWESOME mini catalog!!
It constantly amazes me what you can learn on SCS. I knew there was a SUO place but had no idea you could get to it from these directions. Keep the good stuff coming. TFS!
Hi everyone ... I use a lot of SU products (used to be a demo) and am interested in getting some of the craft spots to use. I know this is an SU only thread, but I am interested to know if anyone has used them on any clear stamps. I have tried to match other brands to SU paper (my favourite) and am getting frustrated at wasting money on colours that don't work. Any help would be appreciated! (I am looking at getting the BB and EE families during SUB). Thank you!
I use them all the time, Jana. They are better at covering the stamp than our classic inks. Just like with rubber, though, some will be better than others. Deeper etched stamps are just easier to work with in general. Really thin ones get the ink gooped up in the lines and blur the image.
The craft inks are really neat to use for different techniques, but I have to remind myself to not push the stamp into the ink pad too hard or it will over ink it.
I am so excited to find this thread. I've been on SCS for a bit, but haven't noticed this before today. Thanks for the tip on MSU - that fits some of mine as I do use CB folders and the occasional non-SU ribbon. Other than that, I'm totally a SU girl!

I have a question about the Top Note Die. How are people getting the layered look to them? Are you cutting the perforated area off?
Yes, that's the way to get the layered look with the Top Note Die. I think there are some Nestabilities that have the same look, however, so some that you see might be made that way.
I cut mine off too. I keep hoping that SU will make a die to cut a smaller top note. Do any of you demos think this will ever happen? Who do you contact to ask SU to consider your ideas?

Has anyone got into the SU jewellry- the chains and charms? I confess that I always wanted to have a charm bracelet but when it gets down to buying it, I turn cheap-o and decide against. But I kind of like the idea of making some of my own charms... so come on folks, tell me why or why not get into this? AND no demos allowed to try to charm me into it, ;-)

Well, I am a demo but I wont try to charm you into it....LOL
I actually dont own any either but want to try one of the charms and chains to make a necklace sometime but its one of those things that I would rather spend money on other SU stuff so I also havent succumbed! =)
What I have heard is a few things that has been discussed...
1) The chains and charms are really nice quality!
2) The small charms that are typically used on the bracelets, some have been having problems with them coming open...meaning the clasp isnt as tight as it should be. Hopefully this is an issue that has been fixed but I dont know.
3) The larger charms are harder to open but in everyone's opinion, with a nail or your bone folder or dime, they are easily opened and everyone would rather have them this way as opposed to popping open all the time.
4) The charms have room inside so that your inserts can be layered and still look good. I think that is a plus!
My own personal observations from seeing the insets people are making is that they are totally cute and I want one now so that i can wear my artwork as jewelry and change the insert out to match outfits! =)
Elaine,...do you need to be "charmed " into it ,...really I thought you were "charming" enough!!! Have seen them,...look nice and feel like a quality but I wear very little jewelery. I'm all about stamps!
I won't try "charming" you into them either but wanted to let you know that it's advised to remove the charms when immersing your hands (or body) in water as the charms are not watertight and your inserts will get wet.

Just got my order a few days ago with the Clear Blocks. Are they ever comfortable! It's taking me a while to get my stamps prepared. I want the picture, so it's a bit fiddly getting that all done right, but it's worth it to me.
I used two of the sets for a waterfall card I made this afternoon.
I uploaded it to my gallery, but I didn't realize that the cards would go up in reverse order to what I wanted. Is there an easy way to shift things around? Otherwise I guess I'll leave it although it is nicer to see it opening in the right order...
If you want to take a look, this is the link to my gallery: vanislandwoman's Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Of course, I spelled Matryoshka wrong, oh well, ;-)
I used the Color Coach to choose my colour scheme.
Here's the link to the Waterfall card directions. Waterfall Card Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
I did change one thing- the neutral layer that has the background stamped onto it from a folded card to just a single panel that I attached to the Blush Blossom larger back layer.

They are so cute! I got the 1" square necklace charm and love it! I've made a couple of inserts so far and am planning on making more to coordinate with more outfits. I'm also going to use different coordinating ribbon instead of the the chain.... just another idea for those of you thinking about it. There are lots of creative things that could be done with these, esp. with Mother's Day right around the corner.
I ordered the clear blocks and love them, too! I got the Whimsical Words set to use with them and have been having a grand time! I have always been on the fence about the repositionable stamps but now I think that is all I will buy from SU - so much space saved!

I love the unmounted option. I had started buying only unmounted from other companies due to space issues so when SU came out with them, I was soooo happy. I am even unmounting my retired sets right now and may end up doing my current stamps to save room. Plus I love the cases and that I can order the empty ones. That way they all match.
Have started to unmount some odds and ends of stamps, think I will start to do those that I love too much to ever consider selling,...all my guy sets. am taking all the goo off and right down to the rubber,...if less is better this is as less as it gets and there is room for more rubber that way.
Elayne,am jellous, want the blocks but want the whole set my plan was to wait until next celebration to order and get something in return,...but you know how that goes,...the best laid plans of mice and men. Had used the blocks at a stamp event and LOVE the feel, have some blocks I have picked up elseware and these are so far superior like so many of the SU products,...another YAHOO for SU!!!!
Hey girlies, sorry I haven't been around too much. I've been busy throwing Sale A Bration parties for everyone I know! Ends today--make sure you get your last order to your demo right away!
I second those who said the charms are really good quality! SU made sure of that. I can't wait to dive into mine this summer. Just too swamped right now.

I just ordered the entire block set yesterday! I had ordered 2 blocks I felt would work the best with the stamps I had ordered before from SAB and mini but after using them, I just knew I needed the whole set! LOL I am starting to unmount my hostess sets and then I am moving on to the past year's SAB sets. Those are ones I dont use as much but cant part with so I figure this is the best option. I find it is pretty easy to unmount and leave the foam on, peel the label off the block and stick it to the foam and then use Aleen's Tack It Over and Over on the label. I love using the stamps this way and I am going to save tons of room so I can get more stamps! =) I will definitely be ordering all my stamps clear mount from now on, and I was a naysayer in the beginning, saying I would stick with wood mount.
I would love to see people's creations for the jewelry! When you make inserts, post to your gallery or here and let us see!
Also, when SU demos start getting their preorder, post here so we can share the new products with everyone!
I hosted on Sunday and got to try the UM stamps. I did like the feel of the acrylic, and placement was so easy. I haven't decided to "take the plunge" just yet and go to getting new stamps in UM form, but it may happen some day.

I won't umount mine either...I love them just the way they are ;)
I will be unmounting my two-step stamps for better placement.
I'm going with SU unmounted for any future sets that are offered that way...I'm always looking for a deal ;)
I just ordered tiny tags in unmounted. I was unsure about keeping track of those little stamps, but someone on tool/product forum suggested to keep the rubber outline with them and store them that way in the case...good idea, huh?

Yep! SU has added TONS of stuff to their clearance rack! If you dont know about the clearance rack, go to the SU website, click on STORE at the top right area, then on the left from the list, click on CLEARANCE RACK. There are 7 pages of things! They have added lots of last catalog DSP and ribbon and in color stuff. Its amazing deals! DSP at $3.99 and up. Buttons in color families starting at $2.79! A few Simply Scrappin Kits at $7.99! Amazing deals...I spent a ton!
Oh, whoopsie! I honestly did not know demos aren't allowed to start a thread about anything SU-sale related... they deleted my thread about the Clearance Rack sale. I guess it's fine if a non-demo starts one but not a demo.
Whatever--I'm just telling my stampy friends about a huge sale!!! I'm too excited to get bent outta shape over that. Hope you all see the news anyway before it is too late to get the things you want!

I tried to purchase something from the clearance rack last month and my demo said that my item wouldn't go through. I can't remember exactly why, but I only wanted one thing so it was no biggie. That ds paper sure is tempting.
