I got a postcard today too. I don't even know the consultant!! I'm not too thrilled that somebody I don't even know was able to get my personel information. I may have to call Amuse and voice my opinion (for what it's worth).
Your personal information is easy to find - it's all over the place. Put your name in google search and see what happens.
so, out of curiosity- did all of the postcards have the same consultant? The ones who have posted the specific name had the same one from what I can gather. I truly am just curious- as Lianne said- we didn't (or at least I didn't) know that postcards were being sent

No, mine had a different name than the one mentioned in this thread.
I get so much junk mail that I recycle. I would LOVE to receive a postcard from Amuse!! If anyone doesn't want theirs, pm me and I'll take it off your hands. ;)
The names and addresses came from previous A Muse Artstamps customers ~ just a nice way to let them get acquainted with the new a muse | studio, and a special discount to boot.
You can still choose your own consultant ~ you are not locked in to the one on the postcard. According to A Muse they were sorted electronically, which makes sense to me ~ but there are some matching-up errors.
I don't have a postcard myself to see how it's working for you with the code/consultant, etc. I'm hoping soon we'll have information for you on how to use the code and still choose your own consultant.
Sorry for any confusion - please do email A Muse if you have any questions!!
I received my own postcard today and had no trouble visiting the personal website shown and obtaining the discount code, and using a different consultant.
If you still have questions, please contact A Muse at [email protected].
I just got an e-mail back from Customer Service, they said they had my data from their old website. I guess at some point I must have "almost" ordered something (I'll dump a cart pretty fast if shipping is too high). Still, I don't like that my personal website was right on the card, anybody could have used it and got personal info. I let the know I didn't like that.

Where is your personal website on the card? I have just seen the website of the demo.

No one's personal website is given on the postcard -- at the top is a consultant site (and you are not required to use that consultant), at the bottom is an access site to obtain a discount code that includes the addressee's name in it.

I thought so, I was just trying to figure out what personal website the poster was talking about. All the personal information on the card I got is pretty easy to get with some internet searching, it's just my name and address.

:^) Yes. And by the way, my order comes tomorrow! Hope you get the ink color samples soon!
When I first went into the website with my name in it, which is in fact printed right on the postcard, the screen said something to the effect of, we'd love to offer you the 20% off, just answer a few quick questions, when I did that, screen appeared with my name, address, e-mail, cell phone. Anyone going in with the web address (with my name in it) on the post card could have gotten that info. Maybe others did not get such a postcard, mine (and others') had a website www.MYNAME.amusestudio.com!

That is the exact same post card I received in the mail. A personalized website address(as described by Amuse on the postcard) with my name on it is printed in larger font than the rest of the post card. And the first time I went to the personalized website all of that info came up for me too. I guess the first person to go to the website printed on the postcard is the one who gets to see all the personal information. When I went to my Amuse-created website again today, I did not have that info come up again.
I found that when I went to the site, and answered the questions, the next window had fields for me to input my information. It wasn't already there. When I input it, I came to a page with the discount information.
When I went back to it again, the information I had input into the fields was not there.
nancystamps, I can understand that you would be concerned if your information was already in those fields. But I'm surprised to hear that it was. A Muse would want contact information if you answer yes to any of the questions, but would have no reason to display it to you.
The first time I went to the website Amuse creatred for me, I answered the questions and when I clicked continue or next (don't recall which one it was specifically) my info was already in the fields. And it is because I had purchased from Amuse in the past. When I go to that website now that Amuse created for me, I do not get the page with all that info. At this point, there is nothing that can be done about it. I am just confirming that it is a website that was printed on the postcard and that the info was all there. And had I not been the first one to go to the website and answer the questions, someone else would have had my address, phone numbers and other info that was already included in the website amuse created.

I understand, I just wanted to say that not everyone has had the same experience when accessing the site.

Thanks Gail, for verifying that you had the same experience. I was starting to feel like no one believed me.

I never not believed you, Nancy -- I misunderstood at first and didn't realize you actually came to a page with your personal info, but I get it now! :^)
no damage done, Nancy (hey, there's a lot of Nancy's on this thread!) I wasn't so much miffed that they HAD the info, but that it was too easily accessible to others.

Glad we're okay, Nance!! And hope you'll still use your discount!!
I like A muse stamps, they are so darling! I need to check out their site based on their new "consultant" set-up. There's an A muse Instructor that was local here and her classes are outstanding.

Are you in the Seattle area? I can't wait to meet some of the people from A Muse -- they are going 'on the road' soon, and coming to Michigan in August!
Minders - you are so funny! I was wondering what you knew about new catalogs being released that I hadn't heard yet, then I realized you were talking about the Stampin Up catalog release in July. I don't think there will be a new large A|MUSE catalog released until 2012.

I had literally just read a thread about the new SU catalog...closed the window and clicked on this email, duh!!!! I do that a lot! Most of the time I catch it before I post...I'll blame it on it being early in the morning today, lol! I did look at the amuse catty though and they have a lot of cute stuff....it's very tempting....:-)

I'm sure I'll feel the same when I get my su catty on Sunday (I'm on vacation and that will be the first time I'll see my demo)
Are any of you ladies in the RAK group here on SCS?
This might have been away that they found your information.
The folks at A|MUSE has said that their customer contact information used for the post cards consisted of former customers already in their database, before they became A|MUSE Studios. A mailing list was NOT purchased for this mailing. Apparently anyone who had purchased online before, or started a purchase and entered their address into their system was fair game. Those addresses were paired with current consultant names and mailed out. The intent of the mailing was to introduce former customers to the new A|MUSE Studio line of products with a 20% discount that could be used on their next order. That discount can be used on any consultant's website, not just the consultant listed on the postcard.
Any questions or concerns about it can be sent directly to A|MUSE using their "contact us" link on the website.
