Now that so many of us are buying the Michael's $1 stamps....
How and where do you store them? Obviously, I want to put holiday specific ones in the area with my SU stamps, so I'll see them and use them. But I've collected quite a few. I just added 18 to my pile today (the new Christmas ones are out). I started off with a small box and now I need a huge box. I want to hear what everyone else is doing. Thanks.
Sounds like I don't have as many $1 stamps as you.. hehehe. But I'm getting up there. I basically have a couple of those 3 drawered plastic containers where I store stamping supplies. One drawer is for my non SU stamps. Simple and accessible.
I store mine the same way as Dawn - just a drawer with all the single, non SU stamps. But, SU does sell empty stamp boxes - you could try those just for the Michael's stamps.
I'm buying some plastic stamp boxes from SU! as part of my next order. That way I can store them with my other sets.

I store all non SU! stamps in Asian paper carrying boxes. I can get all the realted ones in one or two boxes. they store on a shelf either flat or up like a book. The boxes are semi clear plastic and sometimes have a handle. They are big enough for 8 1/2 x 11 paper and about 1 1/2 inch thick. Get them at large office supply stores in USA, I get them at dollar stores here and "asian plastic junk" stores out here in the pacific.
All my House Mouse and $1 Michael's dollar stamps go in one of those cardboard photo storage boxes. (I actually saw one today at Hobby Lobby with House Mouse mice on it!)
Works great and I can stack stuff on top of it.

Plastic pencil boxes - the kind in the back to school aisle, I love them for all my non=SU stamps, I have a bunch of them labeled by occasion and type (Christmas, animals, babies, bugs, flowers etcwith bold print and different color labels for each category) then I have them on the desktop paper dividers with the label sticking out. It works great, then I just grab the stamps I need instead of one large collection of them. I do also have some of them in a large SU stamp container (got too many dogs to fit in the pencil holders).
I have started labeling by SU stamp boxes this way as well - different color strips of paper with the set name on it in - with a bold print - example all the flower type sets labeled on pink, the all occasion in blue, Christmas on red paper....48 colors to choose from!
It has made grabbing the right sets a little quicker.

I unmount mine and store them in CD cases. You only need one size of acrylic block since they're pretty much all the same size and one sheet of EZ Mount will do a whole lot of stamps! I keep the CD cases near my SU stamps.
I store them with my other stamps by subject.........shoes with women, martini glass with entertainment, flowers with flowers and the list goes on. Where we presently live, I am able to store my stamps on the walls by subject so I can see them. My husband just made tracks along the wall for me to set my stamps and SU sets.
I also store mine by category of stamp (Leaves and Flowers, Food and Drink, Animals, Words/Sayings, and then each Holiday separately too) in iris carts. I separate all my SU! stamps from the other stamps. I do not store those by category, but keep them in their original cases. This has worked well, but somehow my stamps have about tripled since I started doing this. My drawers are so full it's hard to find the stamp I'm looking for. I think I need to set aside a Saturday for organization!
I like to store my non-SU stamps in the 11x14 size acrylic box frames (I think this is a JanTink suggestion) and they stack very nicely. I just put a label on the side for what's in each one (flowers, words, critters, etc.) I do have one that's 8x10, and I just tried it with the Michael's $1 stamps and it will hold 20 of them.
Hope that helps.

My downline has a cute shelf for the wall, where they line up it almost looks like an art display. The shelf is only about 2 inches deep and is about 5 feet tall and 2 feet wide. It holds all her single stamps.

Yay! I do this, too. Except I usually just use Alene's Tack it Over and Over.
(If I can't get the stamp off the mount with out ripping the cushion, then I'll use my EZ Mount.)
