Talking now i know why SU backgrounds are the best

i just got my first 3 backgrounds today and my jaw hit the floor when i opened the box. these beauties are HUGE! i've always seen the posts, knew the dimensions but it didnt really hit me till i got them in my hot little hands.
i have got to get more!!!!
the only thing that sucks is i cant play with them tonight wahhhhhhhh.
its my turn at work to do a Saturday shift which means i have to get up way earlier than normal so off to bed for me to dream about these stamps sitting on my desk.

You need to also add Weathered to your list...

I love, love, love my backgrounds.....

Sitting here wondering if I ought to make another Feb order and get that background in the Winter Mini.... then there is On The Spot, Flannel and Well Worn Words that I have been eyeballing for a while.

This all coming from someone who already has oodles of SU backgrounds! I think I have 25 current and retired SU backgrounds.

Default BG stamps

Don't forget to get paisley - it's gorgeous. I broke down and bought weathered, it's a great BG stamp. ;)

I love how they make my cheapie cardstock look so much nicer. I have linen, french script, dots & daisies, crosshatch and print pattern and I use them all the time. I love layering them. I'm so hooked on the background stamps that I just ordered 6 more today!

I like SU's backgrounds, but also like the ones from CHF. They are the same size (gigantic!) as SU's, they have such a huge variety, and they give you the option to purchase unmounted. Can't have too many bg stamps!!

Oh yes! I love the size! I saw a bg at a store I liked so I bought it, tried to use it once and it was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay to small... it didn't even cover a standard size card face. I was mad I wasted my money! From now on SU only. Or atleast SU sized only but I haven't seen any others from another company.

CHF bgs are 4 1/2" x 5 3/4". They have over a hundred bgs!

I LOVE SU BG stamps - so much so that I have all the ones in the current catalog except only *two*, and I have quite a few retired ones too. Why, oh why did they have to retire my Houndstooth and Linograph?? Sob... <G> I can't *wait* to see the BG stamps in the new catty come July!

The good thing is you can get them mounted or unmounted and save a ton of money - well if you have as many as I do!

I did finally buy an acrylic block but used them for a couple years without anything with the rubber side up technique.

Some of SU, Soft Swirls included came up short on the card but CHF never does.

I love my SU background stamps too. They are awesome if you do masking project. I used Weathered and masked it with the Wisecrack one about wrinkles and make great birthday cards for my friends. I'm collecting all of them a little at a time.

The problem with background stamps is that they're like potato chips. You can't stop at one. Mine are threatening to overrun my stamp area!

you picked some of my favorite ones! You're really going to enjoy them and now, I'm afraid, you will be addicted to the background stamps.

Linen is another one of my favorites. it's great for adding a little texture in more of a subtle way.
