Default Not quite navy color combo's

I have a bunch of Not quite navy cardstock, can't decide what colors to put it with. Nothing on the color wheel does much for me. What are some of your favorites? It was actually the first ink pad color I ever bought, and one of my least used !?
Thanks in advance.

. Personally, I like real red, sahara sand, and so saffron with navy. It is more of a boy color combo. I had posted a color help thread, and someone gave me this link. I hope this shortcut works. It is a color combo chart.
Hope it helps.

We're an Army family, very patriotic, so I LOVE NQN for Americana cards. I put it with Ruby Red & Natural for that. It looks great with Old Olive or Mellow Moss.

On the Color Coach, it is recommended to use with Artichoke, Bashful Blue, Cocoa all as coordinating colors. It's complementary color is Blush Blossom. It's also a coordinating color for Bordering Blue & More Mustard.

I really love creamy caramel, barely banana, blush blossom, bashful blue or even sage shadow. I love to match dark colors with light colors for the contrast. I think that the rich regals match really well with the soft subtles for that reason.

A nice combo, sophisticated and/or masculine, is not quite navy, summer sun, ruby red, and white.

Hi Denise- White and Pink- any one looks really well with Navy! I did a purse card uing those 2 colors and it was really striking! Also you can never go wrong using green with navy! From another 1 Denise to another!

I like it with pale yellow (Barely Banana?)--here is an example from my gallery:
Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

I also like it with silver, gray, a deep red, or a pale blue.

One of my favorite new color combos is NQN with Perfect Plum and Barely Banana. Here is a link to a card in my gallery that uses these colors:

My favorite is NQN, Old Olive, and More Mustard. You can use Night of Navy instead of NQN with these colors. I also like NQN and kraft. That's probably my favorite of all---it's the one I find myself falling back on when my creativity has gone bye-bye.

I love it with Really Rust for masculine cards. Here's one I did:

I also think it looks great with Sage Shadow.

On a stamping scrapbookers group, we recently had a challenge to do a layout using NQN, Perfect Plum, Rose Red, and Almost Apricot. At first I said, WHAT??? But I did it and it looked great.

I love using NQN and Kraft along with Ruby Red and Summer Sun. These combinations are great for those needed Male Cards. With my uncle being a retired Colonel from the Army and his son/my cousin being a Lt Commander in the Navy, this is a wonderful color to use. Have fun experimenting with all the color combo suggestions you are getting. Looking forward to your cards being posted!!

Sounds like you ought to do some masculine cards, or I could see something nautical.

Another cool idea would be to try some copper paired with NQN. Maybe some copper embossing?

When I get stumped, I pull out my scraps and spread them out on my table and start pairing colors together until I like what I see!

Good luck!
Vera

I think these are all great tips. Here is a simple card I did with nqn, old olive, more mustard, and very vanilla. It looks much better IRL. It didn't get many comments but it is one of my very favorite cards to make.

I love it with Bordering Blue, So Saffron, Sage Shadow and More Mustard. I got that off the color coach. Here's a link to my card.

I also like it with Chocolate Chip and Old Olive.

I really like it with copper or silver embossing too, I always think it looks really elegant for men's cards.

Smile Not quite navy

My favorites are mellow moss; cream highlighted with More Mustard. Sounds weird but I get lots of compliments.
