Hello very talented and helpful SCSers! I had an idea for my own spin on this great card by kittie747. It just didn't quite come out the way I envisioned it. Any suggestions? I don't have any ribbon that matches the so saffron so I used gold organdy. The only grosgrain that was even close was maize, but it was too yellow. I'm not sure I like the pumpkin flowers, but I didn't think artichoke flowers looked right. Other color suggestions for the flower/ribbon? I don't have any white grosgrain so I can't even dye it saffron. Grrrrr....
TIA for all your wonderful suggestions!
Debbi
Ok, I liked mjackman's tag idea so here's version #2. I skipped the ribbon altogether since that seemed to be my biggest problem. I thought maybe instead I would put grateful from small script on the artichoke strip, but thought it might get lost with the tag. What do you think?

I like it. What about trying the other HT flower instead of the dandelion-ish ones? You could do it in saffron and pumpkin on white cs. For the ribbon what about tying it in a knot instead of the hardware? JMHO.
(edited to add that the saffron and pumpkin flower would be on white cs)
If you have the Carmel Gingham ribbon, or white or cream grosgrain, pull it thru your Saffron inkpad to tint it the color you want! I am always running my gingham thru an inkpad for custom ribbon! I put plastic over one finger to hold the ribbon onto the ink pad, and pull with the other hand. Then you could swap out the maize organdy for a brighter saffron color.
I liked the first version, but must admit after seeing the second version I like that one better. I think the tag makes the "Thanks" pop out versus being kind of lost. Great card!

Alright, I don't feel qualified to critique--but since I put one of my own cards up here awhile ago and asked for help, I'll try to return the favor:
I like the change you made to verison 2.
Maybe you could also layer some of the pumpkin colored CS behind the floral, stamped background but in front of the solid green, and/or put a thinner strip of pumpkin color paper along the center of the green strip that runs horizontally.
Or try using the pumpkin colored ink to stamp just 3 or 4 flowers along with the blue ones in the background.
I like the second version a little bit better than the first. But I think since you inked the edges of the tag you should ink the edges of the paper the dandelions are on. I think that would tie it together better! Pretty card!
