You could always invite your MIL over for an afternoon of stamping so she sees how much time and effort go into your cards even if you do the simple one. Maybe she will get hooked on it and want to start stamping her own cards.

Oh this is a fab idea. My own mom and I stamp all the time together. She started stampin' with me thinking she would only do it with me and never on her own. And probably wouldn't care for it much even then. 2 yrs later and BOY WAS SHE WRONG. We love it. And it might be just what she needs to REALLY appretiate what you do!!! ;)

WOW! how did you contain the laughter. Oh well, she probably doesn't realize the cost or the effort that goes into them.

Well, I made her 60 and gave them to her for free.

They're not great, they're all insanely simple and some are not even cute to me, but they'll work for what she needs them for.

She's stamped before.... she comes to my stamp camps actually, but that's a whole 'nother issue and a whole 'nother story....

That was so good of you to make them for her... I'm sure she will appreciate it!

See, I used BTW long before I ever entered an internet forum, so I knew that one. KWIM just looks like people spelling swim wrong to me.

And am I the only one thinking "maybe she can only afford 50 cents" or did I skip past the part where she's just a tight wad.

Oh please tell the other story! Others may be able to sympathize. Others may just be even more grateful for the step-moms and MILs they have. Who knows. But please tell. Now I'm curious!
