You know alot of people will be selling their retired stuff....if you don't want to rush out and get them at full price now.
Since I'm on a limited budget right now, this is what I am hoping for!
I want:
All Mixed Up
All the Best
All Wrapped Up (plus, of course the accessories too)
Kanji
Natural Beauty
Pocket Fun
Roses in Winter
and the Great Outdoors wheel
I will be doing some dwindling too - I have been eyeing the following:
Best of Cluck
Ruff Day
Pocket Fun
Girlfriends
Girlfriends Accessories
All Wrapped Up
All Wrapped Up Accessories
Totally Cool
Treat Yourself
Winged Things
Around and About
Handle With Care
I actually escaped pretty easily this year: I don't think I'd be too sad if any of these stamps retired right now. However, I DO have two months to talk myself out of that mindset. ;) I've got a few on my "well, maybe..." list, including the All Wrapped Up sets, Birthday Beauty, Sweet Pea, Trick or Treat, Sleigh Full of Toys, and Happily Ever After. I REALLY like wedding sets, and I do need some motivation to work on (meaning: start) my wedding album, so I might wind up getting the last one on that list.
this is my long list: What a Hoot
Santa Post
Bundle Up
Favorite Teddy Bear
A New Little Someone
All W.Up Accessories
Flower Filled
Pines
Artifacts
Handbill Headlines
NOw I get the fun and difficult job of whittling that down to what I actually will get--hours of pouring through the gallery!!
All God's Children - I have looked at it for a few years. Not sure why exactly I think I need it and what I will do with it but I just think its sweet and simple.
Thankfully I bought French Script a few months ago otherwise I'd be looking at that one as well.
I only have 6 retiring sets - one of which is the very first set I ever bought (back in 2002).
I have promised my 9 yr old dd halloween backgrounds for sometime now. I wanted cheese cloth but have been buying in colors paper instead. Guess I have to buy it now. I have been thinking about balmy breese, but not sure yet.

My long list which will eventually be pared down to a short list:
Holiday Woodcuts
Crazy for Christmas
Happiest of Holidays
Holiday Spirit
Simply Circles
Parlez-Vouz Francais?
Cool Cat
Best of Cluck
Birthday Beauty
All I Have Seen
Knobbly Gnomes
Mostly Flowers
No Place Like Gnome
Fresh Fillers
Crosshatch
I want Crosshatch because it goes well with Natural Beauty which I have. Except I really dislike Natural Beauty, except for the bird.
I am personally glad to see so many go! Many were very out-dated! I only have a few on my list, but I'm debating those or my first order of Bellas...decisions, decisions!!!
Being fairly new to stamping I had alot on my list but I went over it (three times!) and pared it down to Cheesecloth, Tag Time, Holiday Woodcuts, and Crazy for Christmas.
Crosshatch didn't make the final cut but I'm on the fence... is it worth it??
Well, so far only one---Christmas Carolers. I may not even get this one----I just love the example in the catalog! Since so many Christmas sets are retiring, I could probably live without it & hope there are going to be some awesome new sets!!!

My demo emailed me and said that if you want wheels get them now because it's a 3rd party who makes them for SU, so once they're gone that's it.She said that she will get update's the are color coded and certain colors will mean they have plenty, then a medium supply, then almost gone. Then I got to thinking and I just assumed when the set's were retired they quit making all of them,so does that mean they make the set's clear up to the end of June?
Well, here's what I really want. I will definitely have to cut the list down for financial reasons. I always look in the gallery to help me decide. I already have several that are retiring, thankfully.
Stampin' Fun for Everyone p81
Right at Home p82
A Little Love p84
Treat Yourself p106
Fall Whimsy p130
It's About Time p150
Cheesecloth p170
I made a first list and then I'll probably pare it down. My list is:
Fishy Friends (But should I just get Silly Sea Life?)
Natural Beauty
On Gossamer Wings
Dry Brush Jumbo
Farmyard Jumbo
Poinsettia Jumbo
Star
Swirling Stars Jumbo
Woodcut Holly Jumbo
Being from Alaska I am stunned and know my demo will make a lot of money this month on Pines! It is a must have in this part of the country!! I have been eyeing Tassel Time and the Star Wheel. I am so happy I got I love Soccer and Hip Hip Hooray already. I can't believe they only made it one year!
I am from Alaska as well and totally concur with your assesment on "Pines" - will definitely be ordering it ! I am also considering:
Sweet Talk
Cool Cat
What's for Dinner
A New Little Someone
Wash Day Jumbo (wheel)
In the Wild
French Script
Size it Up (wheel)
Yep... I'm with Emmie... gotta have Hip, Hip, Horray for sure. That's my only MUST HAVE, though I do like French Script and Bubble Queen. Just not sure I'd use them that much.
I just ordered French Script and Roses in Winter. I've had my eye on them for a while and now that they're on the way out, wanted to make sure I got them before I regretted not getting them. I'm still debating on Holiday Woodcuts, Brighter Tomorrow, and Petal Prints (I know, I know...still haven't caved on that one).
I started stamping with Stampin up sets about 4 years ago and I am sad to see some of my first set purchases retiring but I know it is probably time. I didn't do an actual count when I marked my catalog but I think most of the sets I own now are retiring. I already have some sets that are already retired so I am looking forward to looking at getting some new exciting sets. I wonder if Stampin up keeps an eye as to what is going on here on SCS for ideas on developing new sets. The stampers here are verrrry creative. I purchase a lot of current sets from my demo but also shop a little on e-bay for retired sets as well as participating in the SCS B/S/T forum, which is why I have such a large supply of retired sets, so I'm sure if there is anything that I didn't get from this catalog I can get in the future if I am patient. I especially like the getting the sets slightly used and already mounted. They are ususally a good deal on e-bay and I can use them right away without having to mount them. I have only been disappointed once doing that and that was because one of the sets came with fresh ink on them but that's a post for another thread I'm sure.
I'm debating if I really *need* French Script - I've had my eye on it for a while! And I'm on the fence about By Air. I already got By Land, but missed By Sea, which was in the winter mini....I might have to troll around B/S/T for these!
I'm lucky that there were quite a few on my wishlist that did NOT get retired. Hopefully I can get them at a later time - Unfrogettable, Wild About You, Label Classics, Little Pieces, It's Your Birthday, Simply Said....sheesh, so much to wish for!
I am getting girlfriends and accessories. poinsetta wheel and the leaves to match,
That's it for me.

My 8-year-old DD almost cried when I told her Pretty Princess and the Girlfriends sets were retiring. She's been very patiently waiting for those since Christmas. So, natually, I ordered them for her!
The only set I want is "Good Things Grow". This is a set I would have never looked at BUT my demo did some beautiful cards with it and now...I have to have it. Besides, I have a set from TAC with tiny sayings that would fit wonderfully on the images in "Good Things Grow".
