Oh, now that's really interesting. I'm excited to see what images they use for dies.

I will be keeping my bug and looking forward to getting the dies. Quite spendy for me anyway especially since I got the bug.

The images are exclusive to SU! Customers will be able to start ordering Sept 2. There will be a blurb on demo's websites (their SU websites) with a video too. It's VERY cool--has a cool "doctor's bag" to carry it in.

Same here. I can't justify buying a Big Shot when I already own a CB that I can use the dies with.

Does anyone know if you can use the Big Shot dies in the original sizzix machine?
Also, does anyone know of any videos to watch where they are using the big shot dies in the orignal sizzix? I'm a visual learner.

You can use the Original Sizzix dies and the Sizzlets in your original sizzix machine, but the BIGZ Sizzix dies won't fit. They are huge and won't fit in the Cuttlebug or the original Sizzix machine. sizzix also makes a BIGZ XL series of dies that are even bigger.

what?
i was hoping for cuttlebug embossing folders! does the 'big shot' line ever offer embossing folders.
i prefer embossing to die cutting BUT it will be nice to have coordinating shapes and images...
i am reading and hoping that what i understand is true...
these will be able to be used in a cuttlebug machine, right?

Yes Sizzix have embossing, they call them texture plates and they come in packs with 6 designs in each, they are also bigger than the cb folders.

Sizzix also has embosslits, which cut AND emboss - and SU has an exclusive 20-year anniversary edition!

Wow!
Have you seen the dies? I want the buttons and the birds - they look so great! This puts my demo in a weird spot. She recently bought a Bug and has been having a ball with it. I wonder if they will be able to demo the precut parts, but not show off the Bug if the don't have the BigShot or what ever the machine that SU is selling is called.

The machine is still called the Big Shot. Some of the dies are regular Sizzix ones and some are exclusive to SU. No embossing folders yet.

Sizzix does make texture plates. They were origianally designed by Ellison when they created the Big Shot.
