I can't find them on the supply list....BUT I'm 99% certain they are made with the blossom punch! I was just looking at them the other day! They remind me of carnations! So pretty!
Yes, I think they must be made from this punch! I think I'll have to buy it and give it a try. I think they must be punched several times and scrunched up or something..KWIM?
Could a SU demo tell me how the hostess dollars may be spent this year? Are the hostess items the only products that can be purchased with the rewards or can a selection be made from anywhere in the catalog?
Thanks!
~ Rita

Yes and probably spritzed with water before scrunching!

Exactly like last year. The hostess program has not changed. You can order any combination of hostess items and catalog items or you could do all hostess or all catalog items.

Very good news!
Thanks!

I hope I get mine soon. My demo posted on FB last week that she got her copy. Usually I get mine close to the starting date. Hopefully she'll be able to show me the in colors as well, I always prefer to see them in person before I choose to like them or not.

All in all, I like the catalog. I have two new stamp sets on my "must have" list, and some accessories, too. SU cardstock cannot be beat!
I must say i was a bit disappointed in this year's In Colors. The blue seems quite like Not Quite Navy, the pink-y color seems like the retired Cameo Coral, the darker pink color seems like the retired Purely Pomegranate. The green is way too bright for my tastes, almost fluorescent, and the yellow-ish color just strikes me as weird. I've seen them placed next to some of the current colors, and well, there just isn't enough difference to my eye. In a way, though, this is good, because I hated losing Purely Pomegranate, and I still have some Cameo Coral that i can use if I want to match to the In Colors ribbon, dahlias (love them!), etc.
A question for you: Did Dotto get retired? I don't see it on the retiring list, but didn't see it in the catalog, either. What is its status come June 1?
Thanks,
Barbara

Hi! I HOPE this won't be considered a "hijack" if I ask a question about possible SU demoship here. My question is this...I see that one can currently (June 1st?) be a demo for $99, so...I have list (from the new catty) of things I'd like and wondered if I could "build my own kit" and not get the suggested items. Is this possible? If so, how would this work? Also, do people really LOVE the SU acrylic blocks over other brands? Are they, do you think, worth the investment?
Thanks again for any info! So sorry, if I'm getting us off topic!
So... ...what I really LOVE about the new catty is THE LAYOUT!!!! WOW...love all the larger pics with card samples!!

The new Starter Kit price of $99 (125 in Canada) is effective now. And will stay that way.
"Build your own kit" is really that ... you can choose whatever you want. In the US, your choices need to total between $99 and $125.
Apparently, you can also right now build your kit with pre-order items. But that doesn't include everything in the new catalogue.
Talk to your demonstrator for full details.
Sorry I can't help you with the blocks, I've only ever used the SU! blocks.

Well, then I know I'll be happy about at least one of the colors, because I've used up all my Purely Pomegranate and that was one of my favorite colors of all time. I've been concerned about the other colors because usually I don't go for bright colors and they look quite bright to me. The one I'm most curious about is Midnight Muse. But if I don't like the In Colors, no biggie because I haven't even bought some of the new regular colors that were introduced two years ago.

I find the blocks to be really nice and far superior to the few I had from the big box store. The edges are rounded and grip nicely...they are nice sized and weight and I find they stamp well and evenly! I love them!

A question about them...in the new catty there is a deal where you can buy all of them in a bundle at a savings...is this deal available as a demo "new kit" buy? KWIM?

Not until June 1. You can buy anything in your starter kit on June 1.
I will say that I had a variety of other blocks. I decided to organize my stamps and it involved a LOT of stamping. After spending a day stamping with other blocks....(I only had ONE SU block and not all my stamps would fit on the size I had)...I decided after my fingers were SORE to donate all my other clear blocks and IMMEDIATELY buy the SU ones!!!! I even got the block storage case....I love it!!!!!
They are worth the money!!!!
is there where if away find out if there new deom in my area?
The best way to check is to go to stampinup.com and at the top, click on 'Find a Demonstrator'. Then, on the left side, type in your address. That will give you the nearest demonstrators.

How much are the catty this year?
I'm in Canada, so I'm not sure what the printed price on the catalogue is, but it's about 1/2 of what it was last year.

How many catty is there this year?
Are both catty come out the same time?
This year there is one catalogue, which starts June 1 2012 and ends May 31 2013.
There are also two seasonal catalogues (like the mini catalogues, but bigger). The Holiday catalogue runs from Aug 1 to the end of December.
The Occasions catalogue runs from the beginning of January to the end of May.
(I don't have exact dates for the seasonal catalogues).

What differncne in the catty?
The annual catalogue is thinner than before. It has a cleaner design, I love it! There are still lots of samples in it ...
The seasonal catalogues will be larger. None of the demos have seen the seasonal catalogues yet. We're still being thrilled by the annual catalogue.
I saw the catty online but much prefer to have it in my hands! I have read it from font to back, back to front and have a ton on my wish list. I especially like the "elements" section. Sets:
Postage Due
Gossamer Lace
Quint-Essential Flower
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Everything Eleanor - first on my purchase list
Decorate A Daisy
Daydream Medallions (gotta have the floral frames framelits too)
That is just a small sample of my list!

Mine is in the mail--why oh why doesn't the Post Office deliver at all hours of the day and night so I can salivate over it too. Saw the link, but want the real thing--so much easier to look at and mark up too!

Wow..I have heard SO many great things about the SU blocks and now have just decided to buy them ALL in that new bundle price which is offered in the new catty. FYI.... In buying them that way (all at once) you get a FANTASTIC savings versus buying them one by one or a few at a time.
I am even kicking around (yikes...for the first time EVER) the idea of signing on as a hobby demo. It's a great deal too! I can customize my demo kit and get $125 for $99. And, I think, my kit ships for FREE! What a deal!!! I really DO NOT particularily want to sell anything, yet I LOVE the products and just want the savings. Even if it's the savings for just this!
Thanks for the info and hope ALL of you waiting get your catties SOON!!!!!!!
Received my new catty yesterday so sat down last night and went through it one time. I wasn't "marking" many sets, which is a good thing. I'll probably get the incolor paper and markers and maybe ink pads, plus possibly one or two sets but that's it. I, too, have so many sets and my umph has disappeared the last month or so; thus, I don't have the inclination to buy more. Time will tell when I see the gallery with samples.

I know right! I was really surprised to see so many holiday stamps as they had said those would be thinned and mainly in the seasonal catalogs. That one left me scratching my head a bit because I feel there are still a lot....
