LOL, you are as bad as demos...counting down I mean. I know some of us had a countdown thing on our computers for the pre order, haha. I was YOU when I was a customer...I couldn't wait!
Again, please don't think we are holding out on you! You know it would get "leaked" if it was out BUT like Gale said there is no PDF file yet. I can't remember when they posted it last year but I THINK they won't post it until July 1 this year! Call your demo as she just MAY have her copy....it's way better in real life anyway!!! :-) Good luck with the waiting....it's soooo hard, I know!!!!!
It seems like the last few years SU finally is getting the demo comp catties to demos BEFORE they go live to customers mostly due to the promo of placing an order in June to get the comp catty in your order, but most of the time when I was a demo, I didn't get my comp catty until way after it went live to everyone (and had to call SU well after release day to get a replacement copy since the first one never got to me). Also, when they finally started putting out a pdf of the catty, I would constantly check on the SU demo side of their site to download the pdf on release day only to find out that they posted it first on the customer side and was really slow to finally post it on the demo side. If it hadn't been for customers on SCS stating that it was up on the customer side, then I wouldn't have known that. So, being a demo didn't necessarily mean that you got to see the catty early or even on time. So, as a customer, unless you get to see the hard copy from your demo, check the SU customer site on release day but be prepared for the catty to take forever and a day to download due to it's size and internet traffic on that site. You may still be seeing it before a bunch of the demos do.
We've been able to get our catalogs in our first demo order placed in June since last year. Since some of us expedited, we got our catalogs the first week of June. I think it was a great solution to the problem of getting complimentary catalogs to arrive on time when sent by USPS. USPS will always sideline mail such as magazines and catalogs to suit their own delivery schedules. If they have a heavy mail day, like the day the advertising circulars are sent out from local grocery stores, they don't deliver catalogs or magazines on those days. This has meant that some demos, whose post offices handled a lower volume of mail, would get their catalogs before those whose post office had a high volume. Very frustrating for the demos! Including the complimentary catalog in the first demo order was the solution SU! came up with in response to our requests for a better way (okay  some of them were probably not "requests" exactly, LOL) and I think it works very well. Even an order for a package of cardstock placed in June will ensure than you get your catalog in June.
Would any of you demo's be sweet enough to post a link to the new cattie?? I know you're not supposed to, but the suspense is killing me!!
I think I read somewhere that you can look at the caddy if your demo has one. I haven't seen the new caddy yet, but I'm hoping I will on Saturday  (I'm going to a SU card class)

I know im uber-excited about the new catty but sadly Aust has to wait another 2 months and 2 weeks which is sucky.
Although I just can not wait until September, as I'm going to sign up to be a demo so I dont have to wait like this anymore! (ok I lie Im probably going to get more excited than what I am now ahahahaha)

My SU demonstrator is mailing me a catalog. When will I receive it? Does she have to wait until the 1st to mail it? Or will I get it before this? Just curious....can't wait to see it. SU fits me perfectly so interested to see what is in this catalog. Thanks for the help in advance.

Your demonstrator can mail your copy to you as soon as she receives it. Unfortunately the cases of catalogs that we have ordered don't ship from the printers to us until the end of this week so it will be sometime next week, at the earliest, that your demonstrator has catalogs in hand (other than her precious personal copy) to distribute to customers.

Yeah, I feel bad, not sure what to do....I'll be in Mexico on our honeymoon until like July 3 or 4. I feel bad that I can't get my catties out sooner. Oh well, I guess my tiny customer base will understand, right?????
And I feel bad I just had a potential customer ask for a catty (she wants me to bring it to the gym...she is forgetting I can't come in the morning in the summer...although I can go next Thurs cuz I'm off). It's just bad timing. I guess I'll give her the current catty and mini and then just get her a new one when they come out??? Would any of you be upset with that???? Man, I sure didn't plan this wedding at the right time, what was I thinking????? LOL!

We had our stamp club meeting tonight and got to look at our demo's new catalog. This one is fabulous. There are so many things that went onto my mental checklist, like the new color companion and storage for my acrylic blocks to name just two. SU did a great job with this year's idea book/catalog. I can't wait until I have my very own copy and start my wish list on paper.
I'd also like to know the answer to this. Is it cutesie vintage or distressed vintage or somewhere in between? Anyone? Please?
We cannot really say much, but my impression was more antique French vintage, if that makes any sense to anyone but me. Shabby chic, I guess. More softly worn than sandblasted or gunge, LOL. I do think that there is something to please everyone in this catty.

I didn't know there was more than one kind of vintage:-) Can someone tell me what the difference is? I only recently got into the whole vintage thing...glad I did though:-) Thanks!
I am going to go out on a limb here and say that no, its not "Tim Holtz vintage". I think it tends to lean towards girly, shabby chic vintage. I just dont think anyone but Tim Holtz can do "Tim Holtz vintage". He is a master at it! I do however think that some of our new stamp sets and accessories will look great with Tim Holtz stuff!! I think many stuff can be made vintage by what papers and ink treatments you add so I think that *most* people will like certain vintage elements and styles of the new things that SU is adding.
When I do vintage, I tend to combine TH stuff along with my SU stuff because I like the "girly vintage" more than the "grunge vintage". Give me flowers anyday! Even if those flowers have ink splotches and are made out of old book pages!! LOL
I was wondering, I live in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago and haven't recieved my free Demo copy yet. Has anyone else around here gotten theirs? Just wondering if the P.O. is holding out on me or if they haven't been mailed yet.

You have to place an order to get a catalog or it won't ship until July 5. So if you don't order it's not coming in the mail for a while!
Thanks for all the replies on the vintage. I know exactly what french vintage/shabby chic means and it sounds like a good match for all the new Tim Holtz stuff I've bought recently. I agree, I like a little less grunge and a little more girly--somewhere in between;)
