Kerry,
I'd love to attend too! I visit Mass and Pepperell often for w/s and Stamp camps.
Do you have a place in mind? Maybe a church in Nashua would rent the hall for a low cost, or a community center. There is one in Pepperell which I use a lot for Stamp Camps and classes.
Chrissy
I would love to get together, definitely count me in.
I live in Bradford and work in Chelmsford (very close to Nashua) and have planned an event or two in my lifetime so I'd also be happy to help plan, coordinate or anything at all that is needed.

I have rented the community center in Pepperell also for several stamp/scrap things. The thing about Pepperell is that it is SO far off the highway.
I'll probably start looking in Nashua
Jumping in from Manchester, NH....I'll go anywhere for stamping. Anyone been to the show at the Big E in June? How about the Manchester one that has been in Aug but is in Sept this year.
dg
How about planning the get together around one of these events? Just a thought.
I live in central mass also.I think after the new catalog though.only because so much is coming up for me this year.I have a wedding at the end of May in Cape Cod and will be there for 4 days.July is a very busy month going to West Virginia.and Maine on vacations.

I would love to come too! Depending on date, time, etc. I'm with scott's mom-Sturbridge would be great! There's a hotel right off the turnpike that might work?!
Scott's mom-where in Western MA are you?
I would also like Sturbridge, which is exit 9 off the Mass Pike. I just taught some stamping classes at a crop in Sturbridge Host Hotel. For this crop, the 140 ladies came from all over New England.
I go to all the large stamping or scrapbooking shows in New England. Here is information on the shows I go to.
The Big E Springfield show will be June 4 and 5 and the website is www.heirloompro.com. This one has lots of stamping vendors and some classes.
The Manchester show will be Sept 24-25 and the website is www.rubberstampexpo.com. The same show is held in Providence on July 23-24. I found the Providence show has more vendors. I spend the whole day doing make and takes and talking to vendors. I get ideas for my classes for the coming year. These shows have added a crop this year.
For scrapbooking shows, the Creative Keepsakes Convention will be in Manchester on May 20-21. This the largest show I have found in New England and I would recommend taking lots of classes. There are more stamping and cardmaking classes this year. Class registration starts March 2 and the classes were just posted on www.ckscrapbookevents.com/manchester2005/. There were 50 vendors last year so plan lots of time to shop. The highlight for me last year was a seminar with Becky Higgins.
I have also gone to Creative Keepsakes University in Boston in 2004. CKU is the best!!
It seems like there is definitely interest to meet. It also seems that with folks from all the states, looking a map, Nashua NH or the Worcester MA area, or inbetween there somewhere, might be around the geographical center. In that general area. Oct is a BUSY BUSY time for hotels throughout NE and rates on meeting space and hotel rooms, if anyone stays over would be the most expensive and also the least available. Early Sept is better or anytime after fall foliage ends. Keep in mind that if we were to book a function room, from April thru Oct hotels with larger function space have wedding receptions so again, those rooms may be already booked up. I think we need to find out numbers, get a "general" RSVP so we can see how big a space we need. These rooms do tend to be expensive so we would probably need to pre pay. Unless someone has access to a VFW or other sort of hall. I have no idea what the price is for that type of function space. Anyone have a REALLY big basement? LOL (Just kidding)
Tina-
Thanks for the info on the stamp shows. I've heard of the Big E one but have yet to go. I'm planning on it this year. An maybe I'll try to go to the one in Providence as well.
Is any of you planning on going to the RI seminar?
I am planning on going to the RI regional, as well.
Geographically speaking Nashua is a logical choice.
It is also only a few towns from me, so that makes it easier for my footwork in the planning process.
I would love to hear suggestions on what you all are interested in doing for the get together. Shoe box swap...some of you could do short 5 demos on techniques...etc....um, food! What else?
I would definately be interested in attending. I live near the cape in Marion. The only bad time for me is Sept. 17th. My brother is getting married that weekend.
a lloonngg day sounds good to me unless Kerry and Karin can hogtie my dh  so he doesn't freak about an overnight LOL
I can think of easier ways than that LOL But then again it might be harder that I thought if we go to Super Camp in April and November for the entire weekend to get another nigth out of him LOL
Did you compile a list of who was interested and where they were coming from?
It seemed like we are from all over....maybe something even more centrally located than Nashua would work? Something in MA but off 495....Westford/Bolton/Marlboro???? Just a few ideas ;)
I'm happy to help (and since we are on a roll, I'll speak for Amy again...) she is happy to help too.....just tell us
I would love to come...I am actually in the process of moving to Maine from Colorado in March! I have never lived in New England, so this area is all new to me, but I would love to meet all of you.
Melinda
I am available to help organize if needed. Don't feel as though I could contribute much teaching wise, but anything else just email me. I just want to make sure you do NOT have to be a demo to participate. I'm just a really good customer...
My daughter is getting married on Sept 17 too. So any other time would be fine.

LOL! hmmmm...."MA but off 495....Westford/Bolton/Marlboro" is not more centrally located for those in Northern NH or Vermont or Maine! LOL!

Thank you! We will be in Sebago, Maine (about 45 mintues out of Portland). Having lived out west for most of my life, I am amazed at how close everything seems in New England. What part of Massachusetts are you in?

From those that responded:
Connecticut: 4
Rhode Island: 1
New York: 1
Maine: 2
New Hampshire: 7
Vermont: 2 Massachusetts: 17
For the Natick, Sterling, Framingham, Leominster, Lunenburg, Central MA, people it would be just about an hour to Nashua. For the Marion, W. MA, Monson, Sutton, 2 Plymouth people it would be 1 1/2 hours or so.
For the ME people it is actually closer to go some where over the MA border off of 495 than to Nashua.
For the VT people one is about 3 hours away and one 90 minutes.
And for CT, RI and NY something in MA off 495 (even if its close to you but you don't have to get on Route 3) is closer than Nashua.
Honestly I don't care where it is, just trying to see if we can come up with some place convenient for everyone
Swaps are good although I have no idea what a shoe box swap is. So far, I've only swapped card fronts.
Food-definately! How about if we all bring some cards of our own work to display. I know I could use the ideas.
Amy and Karin will have to answer the shoebox swap question for you...as I have never actually participated, just heard of them.
That is a great idea to each bring several sample to display!
A shoe box swap is when you design a project (card, scrapbook page, gift box) and provide EVERYTHING that is needed (precut if possible, but not prestamped) to create that project for the number of people attending the "swap".
The day of the swap you would bring your project in a shoe box (or a bag or another container). Everyone then rotates "stations" to complete each of the projects
We did one at my house a few weeks ago with 7 people....it was a lot of fun
I ALSO live in Monson! I've been reading a little about everyone from MA. (Old messsages.) I also read that you have a son who is 4/5? Will he be going to Kindergarten this fall? My middle daughter will be starting in the fall.
I also read that you are a transplant...me too, but I was "transplanted" when I was 11, so I've been here for quite awhile.
I'm glad there are more demos. around here! There aren't that many on the SU! site in our area which is okay (more work for us, right?). My upline just moved to Wilb. from Spfld.
What do you think about the SU! thing at the Senior Center? (I was surprised they didn't ask one of us...the girl that did it was from Granby, MA I think.)
IF you want to email me privately, my address is [email protected]...I'd love to chat.
Thanks!
One thing no one has mentioned about Nashua is that it's got some great shopping, and New Hampshire has no sales tax!
