I finally opened my SU preorder. Love, love, love the new core colors. I have been stamping for 20+ years, I'm not easily impressed anymore. But I'm excited to stamp again!
I will not miss the old colors, they will be donated to charity. I enjoyed them for years but I do love the new colors! And it is just plain fun to open and stamp with a brand new stamp pad. One of the simple pleasures of life.
Have a happy stamping day! Send a card today and tell someone you love them.
This change really needed to take place. I was getting so bored with the colours and started to look for other sources, but now I don't have to look elsewhere. Still bummed about Cool Caribbean not coming back; I'm on my last pkg.
I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on some Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso. Those are the ones that look the most intriguing to me. And the in colors look interesting too.

Me too, for Early Espresso....I just know I'm going to use that deep dark brown all the time. Also the new In Color, Peach Parfait (I think that's the right name) looks very pretty to me.
The colors are awesome. Looking at them in the catalog really does not do them justice. I made up some sample sheets of the new color families for my Stamp Club members that they will receive with the new catalog. They show a stamp image and a marker swipe along with a punched piece of each color. When you see them all together like that in their collections - you know SU made the right decision renovating the colors this year. They are awesome!
I also love the new in color Poppy Parade! And Pear Pizzaz....I am a "greens" girl so I knew I would love that one but was surprised I love Cherry Cobbler and Poppy Parade as much as I do!
Cant wait to really play with them and come up with some fab color combos.

Initially I was a little grumpy about the color change... cos I had just finished my collection of inks, markers, etc. However, once I get the colors in my hands and started playing with them.... oh boy... packing up the retiring colors and donating them to Ronald McDonald house was easy. I've found fabulous new color combinations and have even fallen in love with old colors mixed with the new colors. I have a whole new appreciation for Old Olive. It's gorgeous with Peach Parfait, with Cajun Craze and Concord Crush.
When I re-arranged the colors into the new families... somehow, they really did seem to fit together.
I hope you all enjoy playing with them.

I made a card last night using the new Marina Mist, Cajun Craze and Daffodil Delight paired with trusty favorites Whisper White, Not Quite Navy & Chocolate Chip - I am in love!!
