Hey, are there any girl scout, boy scout stamps out there? Also, what about crayon alphabets? New, improved or just gone?
No scout stamps that I can see, and there are no crayon alphas:( Your best bet will be the font CDs for that, I guess. But there are some new AWESOME alphas. I'm seriously drooling!!!

Hi,
Thanks to all the demos who've been sharing - it's fun to get a preview and I never would have known about confetti tan - it's my absolute favorite and I now have to stock up!
I saw somewhere about the new hostess sets - is "fashion statements" really a Level 3??? Ugh......
I know why SU doesn't publish the list of wheels and stuff for everybody to see, but I think it would make a lot more sense business-wise to let the masses know everything's that retiring - like they do the stamp sets. A lot of us wouldn't think of something like one paper choice (like confetti tan) retiring and not the others. I for one wouldn't think to ask my demo about each and every little thing I've purchased, and I wouldn't expect my demo to go through everything I've purchased to inform me of something that was retiring (she has a life, too!) If the masses knew everything that would be retiring, I for one would buy more - like I do for retiring stamp sets that I've been on the fence about. It looks like it would be a win-win situation. SU sells more, they won't have disappointed customers who suddenly can't get something in the new catalog with no real warning, and they still have the excitement of finding out what's in the new catty.
Thanks everybody for all the info. I'm so happy to see "Winged Things" and "Loads of Love" made it . . . two that I took a chance on being there. I can't wait to see all the new goodies and start my new DREAM list!

The reason SU only publishes the retring sets is because they actually manufacture the sets themselves, so they can continue to manufacture them until no more are needed. Last year quite a few sets went on backorder for a day or two after the last day to order and SU was able to meet demand without having too many extras.
The accessories, including the wheels, are produced by other companies. SU has to purchase a minimum number of each item from the supplier. Close to the end of the year, once they run out, they're out. We've been notified that two of the classy brass templates are gone, as well as the 8-1/2 x 11 burgundy album. If SU published a list of the retiring items, many items would be gone long before the end of the catalog year, and there would be many unhappy customers.
The other company I am a consultant for many times starts running out of product halfway through the catalog sales period. And when things go on backorder, they do not allow us to place orders for those items at all. The lists we have to keep up with EACH WEEK are astounding, and I am so glad SU does not opperate that way. Those durn lists of un-orderable items are also the reason I am only in that other company for the discount!
Someone wrote this: THANKS AGAIN gals! Not to drive you crazy but did they really really leave out paisley BG? I know, I know, no one has mentioned it so it must be really gone. A gal can hope can't she. I think it was a mistake leaving that one behind. Luckily, I did order it but now there will be no new samples to inspire ... Grrrr.
My question being new is why? Why wouldn't people who love Paisley not still post stuff with it in it? I understand demos won't demo it because they can't sell it but won't they still use it for cards here and post? Won't non demos who own the stamp still use it and post? What rules or whatever am I missing?

I hope this helps!
Thank you for explaining this! I have often wondered this and didn't know how to explain it to my customers.

My sentiments exactly. I'm not a demo, but I do a lot of swaps and usually will pick a swap that is NVR so I can use whatever I want. Also if you're a member of the RAK forum you can use it there also. I am really glad that I got it before it went away.

Can someone with a catty tell me if any of the new Alphas are "elegant"? I'm looking for something more appropriate for Baptism, Wedding, Anniversary, etc. I'd love to see something that's a bit more like cursive or script . . . .
And is there a set with wine glasses, like margarita/martini glasses?
Thanks so much in advance!
I was wondering the same thing. Has anybody found out if there will be a glass set? I know this is redundant, but THANKS so much for answering our multitudes of questions. It makes looking forward to perusing the new catty so much more fun.
Is the Simply Scrappin' Kit Time for Fun in the new catalog?
Also...what about the Liquid Applique' from the Holiday '04 Mini Catalog?
Thanks in advance!
Again, I'm 90% sure the Time for fun Scrapping Kit is gone. I think they got rid of 3(baby girl, baby boy and time for fun) of the scrappin kits plus the scrappin strips and replaced them with new ones.
I heard that confetti tan cardstock is retiring. IF you have the catalog, could you check this out for me? It's my favorite color to use and I'd like to order a LOT if it truly is retiring ....
Thanks so much.
I'm pretty sure the tan confetti is gone at the end of June. Best of luck

For all of you wonderful ladies sharing info. A big Thank You!
Can anyone tell me if there is anything similar in the new catalog to the Wonderful Wings set (butterfly and dragonfly)? This is the one set that I'm really on the fence about...
Aren't Demo's the only one that are getting their Catalog...NOW?
I was just wondering I saw a post from someone that It didn't think was a Demo!
I'm just a lowly customer and I got my catalogue yesterday.

The watercolor pencils are the same, but there is a SECOND SET of Watercolour pencils that come in the SU! 48 colours!!
.
Now that's something to be excited about! How much are they selling for in US dollars? I have some prisma watercolor pencils now in 24 colors, but I would much rather have the SU ones.

I noticed that her thread title is New Catalogue arrived - HONEST . Since all my posts are "honest" I never even think about telling anyone that I'm honest.
