OK, now that the Retirement List is official, what do you wish, hope, and/or guess will be in the new catalog?
Since both of the tea related sets are retiring, I'm hoping for a more Victorian/classic looking tea set. (My mom is totally into tea.)
Also since some of the "manly" type sets retired, I"m hoping for a set with tools!
I'll bet there will be new alphabet sets and backgrounds since a bunch of those are retiring!

I'm hopeful that since they are getting rid of the three pet sets that they will come out with some new, better ones. I'm really not crazy about Canine Capers or Purrfect.
I'll bet they'll replace the Spanish sentiments with a new one and that they'll test the French market by adding a French set of sentiments as well. (Wishful thinking? ;))
I also hope they come out with new traveling sets to replace the retiring ones. I'm thinking there'll be new alphas, too - or maybe Collage Alphabet will simply take the spot. Collage and Canvas will be in there for sure!
I hope tag time will make the catalog as a regular set this year.

The alphabet sets better be cool, since ALL of my alphabet sets are now RETIRED!!!! Do you know how LONG it takes to mount an alphabet set?@#%@!%&*(@#$!@#^&*@#%^>?!#@

A really nice cat set would be good, and more flowers, of course! I can never have enough of those! More textural BG stamps, like snake skin, wood grain, basket weave, pebbles, moire, etc. I'd also like more wheels with a more natural look similar to Leaf Prints (which I hope makes it in, along with Petal Prints!)

I'd like to see a cope/encouragement sort of "hang in there" set that is a little more serious in nature than the one that is retiring (don't get me wrong, I love the "hang in there" set (bought it right away!) but it's not as versatile as I'd like it to be.
Or maybe something with a bachelorette theme?
If they do a new teacup set it would be nice to incorporate that Nancy Reagan quote about how a woman is like a teabag because you never know her strength until she's in hot water (something like that - I have it somewhere but am too lazy to look!).
Someone had mentioned in a eariler thread that they wished SU would have a set of stamps to go with Loads of Love. Lots of different things to put in the back of the pick up and maybe some different sayings. I'd love that. There are so may clever women on this site who have done the greatest things with this set .... I'm just not that clever. I could use the help!

Oh, that would be nice. I would like to see a martial arts set. And I really wish that they would put Sketches in the catalog this year! I really want that set!!!
i'd love to see a matial arts set too. and definitley some new asian sets. my husband was stationed in japan and loves all things zen...i'd also love to see better st patty's day sets, it's my sister's bday...

I would also love a Martial Arts stamp set. My kids take Tae Kwon Do, and martial arts are extremely popular in my town.

Cocktails, martinis, wine stuff. You know, Girlfriend type things but for "our" age, not the teenegers or kiddos.

Since I scrapbook more than make cards, I would like more themed sets, especially vacation and holiday sets. I need a good 4th of July set, Thanksgiving set, camping, and outdoorsy sets. And I'd also like to see some good alphabet sets to replace the good ones they're retiring. And I would also like it if they offered more colors of gingham ribbon, and maybe some polka-dot ribbon.
On a more positive note, I couldn't believe how close the new colors have come to my wish list, especially the Always Artichoke, celery, apricot, and Sahara Sand. I can't wait until this fall! (I never buy stamping stuff in the summer, those kiddos have to have clothes for school!)
i would like to see some school sets. This last catty didn't have anything for school pages. I'm tired of using the Crayon Kid crayon.
Also, a new birthday set to replace Birthday Greetings.

my first wish is for watercolor pencils in our exclusive colors! I love using them, but get frustrated with the colors not matchung...especially the greens!
I would also like to see Everyday flexible phrases in more affordable groupings. Such as Family (Mother, Father, Son, Daughter, etc.) Holidays (Valentines Day, July Fourth, Easter, etc.), Sports (Baseball, Football, Tennis, etc.). I just think they would be more affordable, popular and you could collect them gradually.
Mostly looking forward to pulling out my Petal Prints again! It's been too long!

I couldn't agree with you more on the greens! I am excited for this Always Artichoke colour for paper and ink as well. Finding the right green seems to be one of the hardest things for me when I am stamping.

Actually, there will be at least one set with wine glasses, one of the hostess sets, the same style as Nice & Narrow. I guess the snowballs are on their way.
I am also just very excited about the colors and how accomadating they are being about getting matching chalks, stampin' spots, etc. !!
I also want a school set, a cheerleading set (customers ask for this ALL the time,) tag punches (I want the little round ones with the doodad on top,) a new camping set, new traveling sets, I like the more loads of love idea, and I LOVED happy hearts ideas on the new textured sets...basketweave, pebbles, wood grain, etc!, and definitely a new paisley for all of you paisley lovers out there!
My main thing, though, is STILL more scrapbook variety!! I really like the feel of the designer scrapbooks, I just don't like the designs. And I really like the fabric scrapbooks, I just don't like the fabric. Does that make any sense? I want to be able to wipe off the front of my album if it gets fingerprint smudges on it (I have a 3 year old.) And I want them in LOTS of our gorgeous colors!!! Just look at the variety of colors that CM has, and imagine them in OUR gorgeous colors!! I really like the spine covers on our albums, though, and I hope they don't change that. Removable spines are SO much better than those that have the hole you can see from the side!
I'd say that about covers it!!
I am holding out for a "western" theme set, with an armadillo (our school mascot). I also would love to see a new music set with instruments from the orchestra - I use All Jazzed Up a lot! Finally, it would be great to have a few themed sets more geared towards topics that are more "boy" friendly - astronomy, snakes, physics/chemistry, historical military vehicles/aircraft, pirates, cowboys, etc. My boys always pick the SAME stamp sets when they make cards for teachers and friends (Dino-Mite and Classic Convertibles).
My other wish is for colored brads to match the four families.

That the new catalog has larger size alphabets in a variety of fonts. Maybe something closer to the foam stamps from Making Memories. Something that could serve as a monogram. I know this is probably asking for too much but a girl can wish upon a star. Any stamp sets that are kid related in a larger size would be great for us who are scrapers. Also I would like more boy themed sets.
I am looking forward to seeing what will replace the Kids at Play set.

I totally agree with Scripture verses and the martial arts theme - two daughters have black belts! Some more Christian Christmas and Easter themes would be great! Another American flag! Gee, this list could so on and on.
I've been asked several times for sailboats, so I guess that is on my wish list.
Personally, I would love to see more inside verses, ambulances or medics, interesting backgrounds like - wierdly enough - microbes - something for a boy's cards.

Ditto here for the wc pencils. I love them, but it is hard to match to colors. Maybe they will come out with all the colors in pencils!!!!!

I believe Mormons aren't supposed to drink coffee or tea, but there are coffee and tea sets, so I'd say anything's possible.

I'm hoping the cool new alpha sets that have been and going to be in the mini catties are going to make it into the big catty! The hearts and the summer mini's alphatags are cool! I also love the ideas mentioned earlier about Loads of Love and "stuff" to put in the back of the truck and the wine sets too! Getting excited now!
I would like to see the rubber scissors in Teflon. I also think that a cute Turtle set would be nice. I also hope to see a really cute St. Patrick's Day set. All you ladies have some great ideas for all the different stamp sets.

I would love to see something along the lines of a solar systems & indivisual sports sets. I really want a soccer set & maybe a boxing one. A wine set would be great too. We all just need to keep our fingers crossed.
