I didn't see a thread about the new catalog so figured I would start one.
My wish list is medium-long and there are returning items on it. My first order was the Baby Bear set (how could I resist?), the pineapple background stamp, and butterfly thinlits (returning item). I'm not wild about the new in-colors. The more I look at them, the more I dislike them, especially the green.
My list keeps fluctuating and my first order shipped this morning. Ordered Baby Bear, Swirley Bird Bundle, Sunshine Sayings Bundle, Gift of Love, Petal Burst EF, uninked spots, all the new In Color reinkers & a package of the assorted new In Color cardstock.
I over spent my self imposed monthly craft budget and thinking about placing another order. Since I was shopped out of last cattie by Feb. haven't bought anything for 3 months....so my warped thinking says I have 3 months of craft money to spend.....right?
I won't be ordering until July, and it will be large because I am a hobby SU! demo covering two quarters of minimums then, but almost every DSP pack will be on that order, along with full packs of the new IC cardstock, a set of new IC markers, and a ton of the new ribbons and twine. I especially love the Night of Navy solid twine and Floral Boutique DSP! I will also get the Pop of Pink amd Floral Boutique washi tape. I have some stamp sets on my list and at the top are Bella & Friends and Pretty Kitty. I also will get all the new enamel shapes. Those will be SO fun to play with!
My list is not all that long. I will get an assorted pack of In Color Cardstock and markers and maybe 1 of the ribbons - I have to try them out before I know if I like them or not. Also, the Swirly Bird bundle and Foxy Friends bundle.
I'm ordering the new banner dies and a stamp set to go with it, but not the one bundled with it. I don't like that one. I'm also ordering ink spots, and the brushstroke alphabet.

I like those, too. Trying to decide to put them on my wishlist. More than likely I will!
I ordered the new In Color papers and reinkers along with a pile of the uninked felt ink spots. For stamps I ordered the Sweet Cupcake bundle and the Jar of Love bundle. I received notice that it shipped this morning! Can't wait!
I'm rather 'meh' about a lot of it and won't get too much. I haven't yet got Flower Shop or that punch and am considering that finally. The wedding-ish intricate die set is pretty and that Botanical die set I see so much of. I'm thinking if I can justify either of those.
But I don't work through the summer so unless I sell a lot of cards which I don't expect to, I will wait til the fall to decide. I'm not an impulse buyer of anything but chocolate 😇 so waiting will not hurt me!
There are a few items on my wish list. I only buy photopolymer stamp sets, now, so that cuts WAY down on my purchases. Also, my only stamping friend is a demo, and I can borrow sets from her, too. The two sets I'm ordering with her first order are Places You'll Go (pg 117; I love maps and globes, so this is right up my alley) and Sitting Here (pg. 100).
The Wherever You Go set on pg 144 is tempting me to buy a red rubber set, LOL!
Once I see my demo's new colors, I'll decide if I want to buy any of those.
I like all of the In Colors this time. Not super crazy about the green, but the others I like a lot. I'll get the sampler pack and markers and the ink pads and reinkers for all except that green. I was looking for the bundle with card stock, ink pads and markers but it doesn't look like they're doing it this year? I want the spots, too. I'll be getting a pkg of Dapper Denim, Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum for sure. Love the jar stamps and the swing stamp set. There are a couple floral sets I like a lot too. My checkbook is gonna take a hit!
I got Swirly Bird with the pre-order and I'm SO GLAD I did. That set is so versatile. I am laughing at myself since when I ordered it, I didn't notice the name of the set -- didn't even realize there was a bird. But oh the bird and the little eggs are SWEET.
I love this thread since I have never wanted so much from a catalog! I am a overwhelmed with wanting everything.
Here are some of my top picks:
- Moroccan Nights Suite
- Jar of Love Suite
- Seaside Shore
- Fresh Fruit
- Floral Phrases
And of COURSE the Foxy Friends. That's my absolute favorite stamp set from the catalog. SO cute!!!
What is everyone doing with the uninked ink spots? I will not be ordering the incolors for the first time since they started them. Just cant get used to them. I think my order will be short and sweet as they brought so much back and I have it already.

Still collecting and organizing!
I'm going to use the uninked spots to make little ink pads of the regular colors I am missing. I won't use pink pirouette very often so I didn't wanted a big pad, but it will be nice to have a small pad available if I need it.
I am using uninked spots for the new In Colors instead of buying full ink pads. Already have to many. Spots are great too when using my Misti as the ink doesn't get all over the lid so will be using some for colors I use a lot.

I think I'll get some of the uninked spots to replace my reds that have developed "the sheen". Will be an economical solution if the ink in the refills is still good.
at the top are Bella & Friends and Pretty Kitty. I also will get all the new enamel shapes. Those will be SO fun to play with!
I love those two as well. They did however, not make my first order, but are now at the top of the list of the next one.
I have way too many things on my list. Was able to remove a few as I just don't need any more flower dies at the moment.
so my first order (placed Wednesday - shipped yesterday, woohoo!) consists of:
Stampin' Write Markers In Color 2016-2018
Stamp Set Clear Vertical Greetings
Bundle Foxy Friends Photopolymer
Bundle Jar of Love Photopolymer
Bundle Sunshine Sayings Clear
Big Shot Thinlits Swirly Scribbles
Stamp Set Clear Hostess Love You Lots
Stamp Set Clear Country Livin'
And I fear I spent too much, so it'll be a while until the next one.
The trouble with being a "seasoned" stamper is that you already have SO MUCH that - in my case, anyway - you get to a point where things start to seem redundant. I've looked through the catalog several times and there are some really great things in it, but I find myself saying "oh - I could use fill in with a set I already have instead" over and over. Great for my wallet, right?
Having said that, here are a few things that may end up at my house at some point:
Hardwood Background - been on the fence on this for awhile
Sweet Sugarplum reinker - the only In Color I might want
Festive Birthday dsp - cute and fun and probably the most likely thing on the list
Flourish Thinlits - pretty and versatile
Yeah, that's pretty much everything that's even remotely tempting to me this go 'round...

That is precisely my thoughts! That's why not much is calling me. I have 15 years worth of supplies and a lot have 'come around again' and already have something so similar I don't need the new one.
Although I love and use all my SU rubber stamps acquired over the years, I only purchased some Christmas from last year's catalog since they made a return to more traditional and not all the whimsy from prior year. (SU always carried beautiful Christmas stamps, but abandoned that for awhile).
A lot of redundant designs with their other stamps, current and prior catalog, so not sure if I will purchase this year. I have so many similar stamps. I like the occasional catalogs better now.
I really have moved towards PTI and lines that Ellen Hutson offers and refined the kinds of stamps I like to purchase after years of stamping.
Placed my order today. Birthday banners stamp set, birthday banners dies, ink spots, marquee messages. I'm pickier now and buying just what I know can be used forever. Love banners so will get a lot of use out of those.
I guess I have almost reached the 'saturation point'! There really isn't a thing that I need or want. I am also not impressed that the 'bundle discount' has dropped from 15% to 10% in the Canadian catty!!!!!!
Went to an open house yesterday to see the new In Colors up close and personal and I don't think I like any of them very much. That green is maybe one shade off of Glorious Green when held side by side. I did order a few things but nothing that hasn't been around for awhile. Will definitely get the ink spots later and agree with other posters.....the mini catalogs have been where I spend the bulk of my money.

Sue, I looked at as many woodgrain background stamps as I could find before deciding that I liked the SU one the best. I didn't want to "collect" a bunch of them, I just wanted to get one that I liked, and I've been really happy with my choice. One of the things that helped me to decide that this stamp was the one for me was this chart that Jessica Williams, an Australian SU demo, put together. It shows what the image looks like when stamped in 19 different SU ink colors. It looks really good in all of them and her blog is filled with plenty of other lovely inspiration as well!
