Me!

I'm placing my first order tonight or tomorrow morning I hope. I had enough on my own for a workshop order and a friend is getting a few things. So I'll be getting a hostess set and some free stuff!

I do need to get around to scheduling a workshop I guess LOL! The order I'm placing is for all the stuff to make a few demo cards for workshops plus the marker set. I'm going to go ahead and get it even if I have to replace a few later.

I'm having a heck of a time joining the demo forum her though. I can't seem to get my demo home page address to paste correctly for verification. Arrgggh!

Default April Demo

I'm awfully excited... my upline sent in my paperwork this morning... Yeah! I'm so glad I didn't choose any of the changing colors - not usually that lucky - but I think the new colors are great. Can't wait to get all my new stuff... it will be like Chrismas morning in April - woohoo! Congrats to all of the others who took the plunge - it will be great learning with all of you. This site rocks... There is no way I would have signed up without this wonderful resource... Thanks to all of you willing to share.

Me too! My kit is due to arrive on Monday. This is what I got:

Itty bitty Backgrounds
AYCI
Birthday Banter
Terrific Tulips
All Wrapped Up
Whirly Twirly wheel

Birthday Banter and All Wrapped Up are not my usual style. I'm looking forward to playing with them...something a little different.

I have mixed feelings about the new colors. They are gorgeous and just what we needed BUT now I have to replace so many things! Oh well, that will help me make my minimums!

I sent my paperwork in on April 1 and received my kit yesterday. The only stamp set that I switched in the Kit was the party one. I chose Sketch-A-Party instead. I chose different color inks because I already had almost all the ones they listed.

I am waiting until after May 1 to place my first order because I want to see the retirements. I don't want to order any retiring stamp sets unless they are just a must-have for me personally. Can't demo with retired sets.

I don't have the ink pads for any of the retiring colors, and my cardstock supply is limited, so I'm pretty excited about the new colors coming out - I really like most of them. I ordered a custom ink caddy on eBay that has 60 slots, so I should be good as far as being able to fit in the new colors. I was *going* to order the markers, so I'm glad that I know about the retiring/new colors now. I'll hold off on that.

I just sold an entire collection of dolls on eBay so I have some money to invest in my business, but I'm trying to play it smart and make it go as far as possible.

I joined on April 1st and got my kit last Friday. I've had such fun playing with my new stamp sets. I really love the magazines that came with the kit - very helpful and positive.

My first order will go in on May 15th and it will be a large one. I'm planning to have a workshop end of May or first of June. I'm glad I took the "plunge". My only concern is making the minimums because I've only lived here 3 years and I really don't know anyone well enough to invite them to the workshop.

Okay I haven't been around SCS for the past week, what's the great April special if you sign up?

I have been thinking about it for about 2 years, but am nervous about meeting quotas and how it will effect taxes I haven't taken the plunge yet.
I also live in small town and there is one person here who already sells.

I would love to find someone in the Bemidji MN area that could help me........

The special is.. if you sign up before April 29th you get $30 off of your kit. I had been on the fence for a while but this spurred me to take the plunge.

I sent in my paperwork the beginning of last week so now I am playing the waiting game for my kit to arrive. It is SO hard to wait. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas to arrive. This is the first I've heard about the retiring colors so I have no idea if I ordered any. Oh well!

Default I'm new, too!

I signed up on 4/1 with my upline. I got my demo # last week, and my kit just arrived today. Yippee!!! I already had a bunch of the sets in the suggested starter kit, so here is what I got:

Fresh Flowers and the corresponding wheel
Let's Party
AYC III
Sketch an Event
Little Layers

I can't wait to have some time to play with my new toys! I have scheduled my first workshop for 5/1 in my own home. I'm also planning a "Kiss 'em goodbye" camp/workshop with my upline and another demo. Gotta get that retirement mojo going!

Looks like a bunch of us took advantage of the great deal for April. Good luck to all of us. May we be successful, and most importantly have a lot of fun.

I'm going on Sunday to my demo/upline to fill out my paper work! My best friend is also signing up. We will work together and have a great time! I will be changing alot of the sets and all the pads (except for the black). I have alot of SU stuff so I have a little wiggle room on what else I would like to work with. I can't wait!

Default First SCS Post ever!!!

I am meeting with my demo tonight to sign up! I am really excited about this and a little scared because I work full-time, have two active kids, and don't know where I will find the time...but I LOVE SU stuff, so decided to take the plunge.

I am most interested in the scrapbooking end of things. Has anyone ordered the scrapbook add-on kit?

The deal is if you sign up during April, they knock $30 off the price of the kit.
That helped me decide. I just sent mine in and am now very impatiantly waiting for "the stuff" to get here.

Yes, I ordered it and am greatly satisfied with it. I did change the things I could change, however. I got the Summer by the Sea layout stuff and different colored cardstock and journaler. I love their 6x6 albums. I ordered the blue one. It's a deal for the price.

The special for the month is $30.00 of your kit..

I guess my question to you would be, currently how much do you spend on SU every month?

As far as saturation, (too many demos, small area) unless you live in a VERY small town, chances are you know different people.

In regards to taxes, how often do you get to write your hobbies off at tax time??

I too signed up this month after trying to decide for a long period of time whether I was going to become a demo since I am already involved in another company. Finally, this was one of MY deciding factors is that the new catalog is coming out in July and I am sure there is going to be plenty that I want also I am sure one or two of the sets I really want to get are going to be discontinued so why am I going to pay full price when I can get them 20% off??

Hope this helps you to make your decision..

As far as the starter kit I got:
Favorite Teddies
Bug Builders
Button Bows and Twinkletoes
Hedgehog Happiness
Background Basics
Whirly Twirly Wheel

(I already have a lot of stamps so these ones that were on my WISH LIST)

My kit is suppose to arrive on the 19th and my first stamp club is on the 20th. I am excited..

Wish me luck..

yes it is $30 off your kit but if that doesn't really matter the best time to sign up would be July when the new catty comes out. You get the pick from the new catty for your stamps and can get the new colors too If you signed up in July you would also get until the end of the year to make your first minimums

I think there are a lot of things to consider when trying to figure out what time of year would be good to sign.. Some people the $30. is a big factor.. And signing up in April we have until the end of October..

I would agree in a way with Kar that July is a good time too. If it wasn't for the fact I thought I would have the money still, I might have waiting..

Default Count me too!

Sent my paper work in on Friday, the 8th! Patiently waiting for my # so I can access the rest of SCS!! Need to plan my open house and think about my first real order, especially with the color changes. Kinda bummed about that. MK did same thing to me after I signed up with them. Go figure!!

Signed up today! I am so excited. I have been an avid customer for 2 1/2 years. I have tons of stuff already and felt like I couldn't hit qouta because I already own so much. But a few friends and my demo encouraged me to go for it and I did. I had to replace the sets in the starter kit because I already had most of them. This is a great time of year to join so that you can be ready when the new catalog comes out. That is what really motivated me to take the plunge now.
