i AM SO PISSED. I joined the Angel company yesterday hoping to get all the big items for half off. So today they announce, that after July 15th AFter the catalog is printed, that we can only get the stamps and papers and brads for half off. NO bind it all, NO Scor pal no big stuff like that!!
I am canceling today. I dont need the headache. They should have did this before the catalog was printed, then i wouldnt have signed up to begin with.
This is so damm stupid, I could have signed up with CTMH. ****** I knew it!! I should have listened to my instincts! I just wasted 150.00 on a kit I dont want or need. And now they wont refund my shipping!

Secondly ... if the only reason you signed up was to get big ticket items at 50% off, I'd say you signed up for the wrong reason. You only have yourself to be mad at.
Good grief! I didn't realize we were in church. She's upset....understandably so.....many, many people sign up as hobby demos just to get the discounts. I certainly don't hold that against her.:rolleyes:

We are NOT in a church but everyone has the right to express an opinion. Just as LovemyAngels has the right to express hers so do we have the right to express that this language is not appropriate.
To go back to the concern of the OP, I'm sorry you are unhappy. You do know that you only would've gotten the half off item after placing a funshop order of $100 right? As a demo, you can use your 30% discount on anything. I didn't see in the announcement that that is changing. The Angel Company really is a wonderful company. I hope you find what you are looking for elsewhere.
Hmmm what is the 50% off thing. I was a TAC demo twice and never heard of it. I agree, you definitely signed up for the wrong reason and you know, if I owned TAC, I wouldn't be allowing 50% off anything except for hostesses as it has to hurt their bottom line. They are a great company with a great home office.
Don't keep your mouth shut. We aren't all that sensitive:rolleyes: In fact some of us don't give a hoot what language you use.
As for your OP I'm sorry that you are disappointed but maybe it's a case of a hard lesson learned. Who did you get your information from when you signed up? Maybe you could go back to them and discuss your displeasure. I think that you should wait to cancel and give yourself a day to think it through. You might find more benefits than the 50% you thought you'd be getting. SOrry I can't speak directly on TAC as I'm an SU! girl myself:-D

I don't think anything you said was out of line either. Please don't let a few people get to you. You have every right to post here and if someone doesn't like it, they don't have to read it. You had a disappointing experience and wanted to share/vent your frustrations. That's one of the many, many great things about this forum.
I agree with the last poster though, that if you give it a day or two to think about it, you might change your mind; and I think you should go back and talk to the person who gave you the misleading information....see what's up with that?

hmm, yeah i agree that that kind of stinks, i'm just going to place my order and get my scor-pal at half off while i can. with all the 50% off coupons craft stores are putting out paying for big ticket items doesn't seem that daunting anymore. also, may i remind you that you do still get a 30% discount as a demo? that's a pretty big chunk off.
Where I'm from, "pissed" is worse language than "GD" *shrug* We've all grown up with different experiences and norms; none of them is any "better" or "worse" than the others, they're all just different.
To the OP, so sorry to hear you found this out only *after* joining up. :P Isn't there some sort of clause about having 8 days to nullify the contract or something? Or am I just on crack?

To the OP, sorry for your situation, if you joined recently maybe they'll refund you if you return the products.
To the OP - I'm so sorry that your experience with TAC has been less than positive. I've been an angel for almost 2 years and have strictly been a hobbyist. I understand TAC's decision to do this, but I think it'll seriously hurt the business of those who are more than just hobbyists. Many, many people book funshops to get things like the scor-pal, bind-it-all and punches at half price. I'm sure the TAC boards will be flamin' at this news. Thanks for alerting us!

She did and it was edited out. Not that I was offended, I say WAAAAY worse.
I don't think the issue is with who helped her sign up. I think they gave her correct information but the company just made a change once she signed up.
To the OP, I am sorry you feel this way, really I am. You did have plenty of time to mull over your decision to join and I am sure you went through the pro's and con's of signing or not signing. I am sure you are surprised (as we all are) but I really don't think making such a quick and rash decision to quit over something like this.
I am sad to see that you would drop so quickly without giving TAC any time at all. You do have your demo discount of 30% you can still use for those items.
It was only a matter of time before they did something like this anyway, honestly. There are too many Angels that (sadly) will take the half price item on any size order and I am sure they have lost money by this happening.
Whoever the OP signed up under wouldn't have known. It was just announced today.
Also, there was no need to sign up to be an angel to get those items at half price. All that was needed was a workshop with a total of $100 to get a half priced item.
Sorry you now have a kit you don't want or need. You could sell the items and get your money back.
I would suggest if you just sent paperwork in yesterday or today and are truly unhappy, thenyou ask for a refund. Given the sudden notice of the announcement, and that you just sent paperwork in, they should work with you.

Let's stick to the original subject of this thread, not the language. I for one am very disappointed in this new announcement too! But only because I'm in the middle of a hostess club with 4 months left, and they all know what they wanted for 1/2 price! UGH!!!!
By the way, customers get 1/2 price items. You don't need to be a demo - their discount is not that high! I just skimmed some of the replies so don't know for sure if that was cleared up or not.
