I'm making my aunt's wedding invites and would like some opinions or suggestions on the two designs I made.....my aunt picked out the colors and the main floral wreath image, so I'm kinda locked into that....but I can change the style. I'm in a bit of a time crunch and I'm hoping to order the supplies to make the invites by tommorw, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I agree with the comments here. The metallic embossing is so much more elegant! I also like the recommendation on changing the tag to ivory, which would coordinate with the other colors much better.
I like the first one the best but also like the coloring on the second. Maybe stamp the wreath on the vellum then color from the back for a muted look? Just a suggestion. They both look good!

I like the one on the left, too. But I would go with ivory natural cardstock for the insert. The white looks stark. Just my $.02 worth.
Thanks for the suggestion......the tag is actually vanilla, but in the scan it looks white. I really wanted to use confetti cream for the tag but this card is made to fit in the large size envies and they only come in white or vanilla. I guess i could still use confetti cream and use vanilla envies......they don't have to match perfectly.
Thanks everyone on your comments.....now I feel better about going with the first card......it will save me a lot of time.
I really like the first one also. But I think gold ribbon with the gold embossing would look better. I could be wrong about the colors, maybe it's just my computer!

Ya---LOTS less work if you do the 1st one! I really like the beautiful color detail on the second, though. But just not for mass production!!!
Good luck with your project. How many?????
thankfully it's a small wedding, so I only need to do about 60......but the wedding is the first week in Nov. so I only have about two weeks to finish them, and I just ordered the supplies!
they are both really nice but i like the second card best - but i think i would lose the leaves and where the ribbon is on the heart, punch a small hole and wrap a real piece of ribbon there, make a bow and let the ends dangle down, maybe even use an adhesive to keep the ends in place
My vote is for the 1st - softer, more sophisticated since it's a wedding invite. Also agree with others that the white is too sharp a contrast - a cream or vanilla would be better. The 2nd one is also great but for another occasion.
Have fun,
Kitty
