Need idea for 13th birthday

My sons 13th birthday is on Easter, and I need some ideas for a card. He's into snowboarding, Guitar Hero, rock music, but I can't figure what to make! He loves black, I know I have to use that color, which I don't normally use, so I'm pretty stumped! Help!

How about stamping in white craft on a black BG? At 13, my guys were into the whole skull-and-crossbones/rock music thing so you could look to your halloween stamps for a skull and then something musical, like notes or a guitar stamp if you have one.

My daughter likes black and plays guitar, too. I favorited this card to make for her birthday this year. Sounds like your son may like it.

Edited to add: I am planning to modify it to an electric guitar, as that is what my daughter likes.

When I am making a specific card, and I don't have the right stamp, I often will use designer paper with the theme that I want as a portion of the card front, together with coordinating colors. HTH! Good Luck.

I just did my son's 13th bday card...here it is:

But, if he's into snowboarding, there's a snowboarding fluffles stamp that's really cute.

I LOVE that stamp! It would be perfect as my son loves Pizza, I should've thought about this a while ago, and ordered a stamp like it.
BUT, since I don't have time to get it, I may have to do the guitar thing. I was thinking about getting some of those rock star papers they have in AC Moore, and maybe carve my own simple guitar stamp.

I was going to suggest the Rockstar papers - definitely would have something you could use in there!

On the Rocker theme - You could print up a "set list" of his favourite songs ATM as a kind of background paper if you can't find the paper you like and grunge it up a bit (maybe even leave a foot impression on it) to make it a bit more authentic.
