DH told me to write down 3 things I want for Christmas. Two of the things were jewelry so that wasn't a problem. But he wants me to list something that I need for card making. In the past he has given me a $200 gift card from Hobby Lobby, but he said that wasn't personal enough.
I have a silhouette, big shot and cuttle-bug. I also have all of the tools that I need/use. (or at least I haven't missed any tool that I don't have!LOL)
I can't come up with anything. Please help me out.
First may I say lucky you! My dh doesn't buy me crafting supplies, I wish he did!
If it were me, today, I would choose a few dies and stamp sets that coordinate. I don't spend much on myself or my hobbies so that would help me feel like I could treat myself guilt-free.
Could you create wish lists from some of your favorite online craft stores? He could choose what he would like to get and you would be receiving items you want but still be surprised on Christmas morning.
How about basic supplies? Adhesive? Paper? Envelopes?
Love the idea of the Adhesive. I have 2 bookcases and 2 extra shelves full of paper. And I just bought 5 boxes of 50 envelopes last week. So I am good on the paper and envelopes, but that will be an awesome suggestion for next year! Thanks.
I do have Copics. I might look into the airbrush system.
Thanks.
Unless you are stuck on brand I got my compressor from Harbor Freight and just the #3 Adaptor for less money than the Copic branded AND it is working just fine.
Another vote for MISTI here. She has a waiting list but expects people to get them before Christmas ATM. She has been a very open, honest, and straightforward owner from what I have witnessed, which gets a lot of respect from me!
Do you have all the reinkers for your Copics. I could spend a pretty penny even at Oozak on those!
What about something non-crafty for your room? Maybe a TV, or dock for a music player or some new DVD's to watch movies?
My DH does the same thing too for getting me something crafty every Christmas. This year I don't want anything. I like to read and do puzzles when I am creating. He bought me over two dozen puzzle books. I thought that was the best crafting present ever.

I do have a TV in my craft room and a small fridge. I don't listen to music, but a gift certificate to Barns & Nobel sounds good.
What is it with men thinking gift cards are impersonal? How much more practical and personal can it be to give someone the gift of shopping for exactly what they want or need, down to the penny? I love that experience... I'd so much rather be given the freedom to shop than to receive a 'thoughtful' gift of something I won't use. Hah! OK, I'm done venting.
If you really don't need craft stuff, why have your hubby spend money on it. Ask for something else. Do you want some new clothes, makeup, perfume, shoes, nail supplies, books, movies.
How about asking for a weekend get away. A date with hubby is always nice, unless you don't want alone time with him;)

I agree, I love gift cards!! I am getting one for him from Lowe's. I bet he doesn't fuss about that one.
