Brice,
In the tool kit, there are two long skinny silver "sticks." One stick looks like it has a hole in the bottom, and the other stick looks like it has a pointy end on it. You should also have a black square mat in the kit, as well as a hammer.
Take the black square mat out and place it on a firm surface. A plastic card table is not sturdy enough - you want a solid wood countertop. Put your card/cardstock on the black square mat.
Now take the silver stick with the hole in the bottom and place the hole on the cardstock where you want your eyelet. Whack that silver stick with the hammer a couple times and see if it punched a hole thru the paper. If not, try again.
When you have a hole in the cardstock, you can now put the eyelet into the hole. Make sure to put your cardstock face down with the eyelet sticking up thru the hole.
Now pick up the silver stick with the pointy end and put that pointy end into the eyelet hole. Whack the silver stick once or twice until the eyelet separates. You don't have to whack very hard. SU eyelets are very soft and easy to set.
Now use the hammer to flatten out the ends of the eyelet. Just use light taps so the metal lays flat against the cardstock.
I hope this helps!!
