Default Need help with original sizzix santa die

I want to make a santa with this die. The number of it is 655010. It cuts out beautifully but it's all one piece with cuts in lots of places like beard, hat, shoes, cuffs, all places I'd need to put other colors. The pieces do not separate? Or do they need to be cut? Should I color it. I'm just befuddled with this.

As you've probably guessed die cutting isn't my cup of hot cocoa!

I did not look up my die number, but have a Santa die like this and YES it means rolling multiple colors and then cutting apart to assemble. Here is a link to a project I made with it.

Felt Santa Ornament by gaylestamps at Splitcoaststampers

Time consuming but effective!

edit: I left the pink layer intact and added the other colors

Thanks for answering! Your felt santa is so cute and seeing it explained the steps to make it. Not sure if I'll have the patience to make this santa but I might give it a try.

I should have included that the Originals dies will cut at least 4 layers of cardstock at once, which slightly speeds the process. Have fun with it!
