Default Need an elegant gift idea for man

OK thinkers, put your caps on, I would like to give a gift for a special occasion (1 yr anniversary of successful surgery results). It's for the doctor who made all this happen. So, it's for a man, has to be handmade, but also needs to be fairly professional and elegant in style as that is how he is.

Thoughts?

here's some ideas, but they are not quite developed, need help--

some kind of Card set with a monogram initial, maybe done with embossing or even metallic embossing?

UGH, I am so stuck, my DH makes beautiful pen&pencil sets so I know what he is gonna make. How do I compete with that? I do wonderful stamping, beautiful jewelry (which I never see on this man), I need ideas.....

hoping for some suggestions.

thanks so much

Hugs all!!

How about making a donation, in the Doctor's name to whichever charity is dear to his heart, or part of his work. Then you could make an insert for the beautiful monogram card you talked about (which does sound very elegant) stating that you made a donation.

I like your monogram card set idea. If you leave them blank he could use them for anything. I remember back before I made cards one doc I worked for liked to send out thanks yous or sympathy or thinking of you kind of cards and we always had to go buy them. I have a friend who makes cards for her doc, he always sends sympathy cards to patients.

I think that card set with the pen pencil set your hubby is making would be a wonderful gift.
