"Non-stamping Mom" did very well! Tell her to come more often! Maybe she will get interested in stamping. Maybe she is like me. I like the coloring part but I really "back off" when it comes to turning it into a complete card. I just can't come up with designs, I'm intimidated with all that measuring, and I have very little confidence in my ability to choose what "looks good together."
Let her color and you do the "turn it into a card" thing for a while. Maybe she will eventually take it to the "whole card" level.
But, tell her I think she handled those copics very well!:-D

She did great!! Good for you both ;). I'll be sure to leave a comment ~ I hope she gets the fever and joins you, Erin!!
(I have to say, when I read the title of your post, I thought, "Oh no. . . what did she do to her Copics?!!" LOL!! Shows how much confidence I'd have in *my* family LOL!!)
What a beautiful card and excellent job with the copics. I've just started using copics and there is a learning curve to be certain. I'm blending okay but staying in the lines with small images is a challenge for me and your Mom did great.
Oh my goodness "Non stamping Mom" has great talent and potential. Did she enjoy using the Copics? Perhaps this will become a thing that you two could do together, wouldn't that be awesome. I wish that my DD took even the slightest bit of interest in any craft that I do. I can just imagine the both of you working together on a project...how cool!
Have a great stamping day!

Wow, a beautiful tree from Mom and a gorgeous card made by you. I think you two make a great team. I would keep encouraging your mother. My Mom is very artistic and she thinks she has no talent. What she has is no confidence. So, if your Mom is the same way, I hope you are successful in getting her to join all of us in this addictive hobby!
the card is really pretty.... let your mom know she did great! the coloring of the stamp is the part i enjoy the most too (or heat embossing). tell her keep up the good work!
