Lightbulb My new GENIUS idea!! ~ Scented Cards??

Ok...if this has been done...tell me where to buy the stuff...otherwise...

How cool would it be to open a Christmas Card and smell Pine and Cranberries?? (And I don't even celebrate...haha) Or how about a fall card and smell Cinnamon and Apples?? Maybe a flowery card and smell Hydrangeas?? Or a camping card and smell the campfire?? A baby card and smell Johnson's baby wash???

This has been bugging me ALL DAY...either we need scented adhesives to use with any papers, etc...or I was thinking I could do scented oils and just dab a teeny bit between layers on a card??

I still think scented adhesives would go over great...can you imagine the Fall rush on Pumpkin Spice Scotch Gold Adhesive Refills???

Although I've never tried it, there is the scratch and sniff technique using kool-aid (?). I've also seen (smelled rather) scented embossing powder. Scented adhesive would be interesting though!

You could try this website. They make scents for cards. I don't know about the ones you've thought of but if you looking, you could try here.

Well I have been beaten to it. :(

These must just be scented oils?? I think I am going to try making myself one...or two...Someone is making a killing on relabeling them for cards...

So what should a sheep smell like?? Haha!

Ladies.....Click on the Resources link at the top of this page and do a search for scented cards. You will find the tutorial for a card. On this site it's called Scratch and Sniff. I've also seen it called Scratch and Sniff on the internet and in card making books/magazines.

They smell really yummy! I have 4 or 5 of them and hardly use them though, I always forget about them! (Card Scents that is, not sheep:p)

Do you just put some of the oil on the card or the adhesive?

OP: You don't have to think too hard to come up with the scent I was afraid you were going to mention associated with babies!!

I wonder if a room spray would work. I'm going to have to try this! Thanks for the idea.
