yeah, that's right, MY DANG DOG ATE MY SHELLI GARDNER COOL CAT CARD
We just got home from dinner and in the middle of the kitchen was the back of a brown card - I could spot that close to cocoa a mile away. And so I think to myself "hmm, the only card I've made lately with close to cocoa was my shelli g kitty card"
And then my dh flipped it over and I beheld that it was indeed my shelli g cool cat card and a wave of obscenities spewed forth from my mouth.

Ha ha Karen :!:
That took a second for me to get that. I guess I had better hide my cool cat cards :!: But my dogs lick my cats ,so does that mean that my dogs would just LICKmy cards :!:
OK, I never got the whole "the dog ate my homework" thing until we got a dog. Any scrap of paper he could get his paws on was shredded in 2.2 seconds and I could see that "the dog ate my homework" was a viable excuse. So sorry about the card, but you know cats and dogs . . .

I can totally relate to how you feel. My dog ate the valentine mini book I made for my husband that was filled with memories of us - our wedding picture, pictures of the kids, etc. She was in the doghouse, literally!
 I made a card with the cool cat set and dressed the cat up so it looks like she is wearing a similar sweater to the one Shelli is wearing in the new spring mini. Here is a link to the now decimated card Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
How awful! You must be so upset. At least you can maybe make another one from the picture in the gallery? I'm sure it took you a long time to make that one. It was a great card.
Darn dogs!
Ronda
Oh my goodness, that card was the best!!! And we used to have a Pug, so I certainly can imagine what that little beast did while you were gone! I'm so sorry, but thank goodness for the gallery, you can recreate it like magic!!! And I think you should send it to Shelli too, she would surely get a kick out of it :!:
Be sure to post your Shelli Cool Cat # 2, ok??!!
Hugs,
Diane

I called demo support and told them my dog ate my favorite stamp and they sent me a new one. Maybe if you called them they would send you a new card. Or at least a new picture of Shelli.
Well I have the cat to match your dog...she does all kinds of things in my stamp room if I go out and forget to close the door...especially when she's mad at me. I have come home and found that she has chewed up my cards...she really likes ribbons...and then to top it off she gets sick throws up all over the place! She just loves to get back at me for leaving her.
Sorry to hear about your creation being so disrespected!

I feel for you! That was an awesome card...
my dog... that's him <--- punishes me if he thinks he's been neglected.... one time he ate my purse strap and the last 20 pages of the book I was reading... exactly where my book mark was! :? This was a few years ago so I can smile now...
I think it's little dog personality... and obviously you were spending way tooo much time with that cool cat!

too funny!
My Yorkie's new favorite hobby is chewing up paper, I think she likes the sound it makes??
I"m so sorry your dog ate your cat----card. My neighbor's dog ate her couch. Well, not the whole thing, but he chewed a hole in the back & just went to town! He's also destroyed an antique chair. He eats rocks, sticks, and yes, even his own POOP! (We witnessed it one day). She'd always had sweet dogs til HIM! She now has 3---one is a 7 year old dachshund she rescued. He acts like a puppy. Needless to say, she keeps up a gate & shuts her stamp room when she's gone!
Andrea,
I am sooooooo sorry to hear of the demise of your ah...card. NAUGHTY
DOG!!!! But I sure have been giggling reading the post comments. And
at least you can remake your truly lovely, wonderful card, right? Or bet-
ter yet, make 3 and be sure to send one to Shelli for safe keeping.
Stink!
I loved that card!!!
It was sooooo funny!
I was thinking you had started a trend and we would all be copying whatever Shelli wore in the next mini!
THanks for being smart and posting it first!!!

Teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Psalm 90:12
I was making little cello bags with a stamped (and hand colored in and glittered) snowman with the Snowman Kisses verse - well I was waiting for the glitter to dry so I loaded up about 15 little cello bags with about 7-8 kisses each and left them with the 20 (yes 20!!!) other ones that were completed and had the toppers on them...
well I had to go run and errand and I picked up chinese on my way back, came home ate it and fell asleep on the couch - I was awoken by a solicitor (for our local EMS - had to give those hard working folks a donation) and I hear this crackling sound behind me - I turn and there is my mangy mutt with a bag in her choppers....
I run upstairs....
oh the HORROR.....almost all my bags missing....but where are they????
run to the backyard and scattered like dying leaves were little pieces of glittered hand colored snowmen everywhere - and not a Hersery Kiss in site...
My DH and I estimate that the dog ate over 200 hersey kisses...nothing happened to her (although I was tempted to kill her)...she has a stomach of cast iron...
But I have learned to DEFINATELY lock the gate at the top of the stairs if I am working on something...
I trained my kids not to touch bu the darn dog is a whole different story....

Ohhhh, that makes me laugh!!!
Copper the same dog as the purse and the book...
<---- has done so many others... I made Christmas baskets for grandparents... all sorts of things... you know food mixes, coffees, cocoas, hershey kisses....... about 2# each basket... I come home and am doing whatever I was doing in the livingroom ~ admiring my beautiful tree with the beautifully wrapped packages and baskets under it... hmmm something is not right... but what is wrong? Wait... the entire baggy of kisses is missing out of that basket..... :? Look behind the recliner... :? Entire sack of kisses opened about a 1/3rd of them left ~ but get this my very smart, highly intelligent dog <--- unwraps them... no he does not eat tinfoil... I guess there is something to be said about that... Now if he takes things that he knows he is not suppose to have he hides them... all over the house, in the boys' rooms, the laundry room, the guest room, my closet...

Oh all those bad furbabies! My dog (a Phalene/papillion) loves to chew paper, so she's always grabbing mail off the table - I swear she scopes out all surfaces looking for paper, then bites it to pieces. She's also eaten 2 stampin mist spray bottles on me (1/2 full), and I caught her the other day with the new square mini punch in her mouth (it was still in the cello). She's so stinking cute though - I can't help but love her!
However, if I had spent a good deal of time on a Shelli G. cat card (absolutely adorable!), and she ate that, I think she'd be in her crate (prison) for a good 6 hours.

Sounds like My Yorkie - I went to a class at my LSS for Christmas where we made Floral punch cards. I was so proud of mine well I put them on the kitchen table and by the time I went and threw some laundry in them. My dog had pieces of these cards all over my house. I could have literally killed him. I know to pick up my stamps cause he has eaten my stamps before and all i found was bits and pieces of rubber. Hardly recognized what they were. That dog will eat anything.

Wow thats one of those stories its so sad its almost funny. I always heard horror stories about dogs and chocolate good thing he didn't get a belly ache for a month or worse. I look back now at things my dog has done and laugh but at the time its not very funny and i totally feel for ya there.
