My Card Is Being Used As A Wedding Invitation!!!
I work part-time at a stamping store near Lake Michigan. I make sample cards all the time featuring all kinds of techniques and difficulty levels. Well there was this one couple recently who met at the beach and decided they wanted to get married at the beach. The girl is a stamper and wanted to make the invitations for their simple beach wedding. She is copying my spinner card. She wanted it to be fun and different. It sure is. Never imagined 'that' card would be used for a wedding invitation! LOL!! It's just asimple little card. But this is really cool!!!
Lois - I really like your card. I remember seeing it when you posted it, and it's really cute. I'm not good at all at making scenery... nothing ever looks right
With that said, not sure I'd pick it for a wedding invite [a picnic, family get together, birthday party: YES! ] but to each his own.
Congratulations! I'd be honored too... and you shouldn't be too humble about it!

Yeah, I thought it was a little wierd to use as a wedding invite too. But like you said, to each his own. They are coming in the shop next week to learn how to make the card. Should be kinda fun. Ooh I hope they aren't those mushy face kind of people. You know the ones that always oogle over each other. Creepy.
I would say this card ranks right up there with the most unusual wedding invite ever. LOL!!!

It is a great card!! I love the beach and your card makes me feel like I really want to go visit! What a great compliment...I do agree that its an unusual invite but I bet all the recipients are gonna really think its a coo and fun cardl! I bet they have a "fun" wedding planned too.TFS. Andrea
Cute card...but wouldn't it be just tooo darn funny if the spinner was a bride/groom stamp instead of a beach ball??? I know...I'm sick. Like your card though!! ;)

Cute card. Perfect for a beach wedding, I guess. Wouldn't be my style, but it is cute.
This made me LOL. What a great idea.

I live in Michigan City, IN and the store I work in is in New Buffalo, MI. It is just over the Michigan state line. We aren't that far from each other. I take the South Shore into the city a lot. It goes right in front of my house. We have alllllll kinds of people from Chicago in New Buffalo all the time. It is a summer residence town for a lot of people. A huge number of our customers are from Chicago.

Glad you posted this thread. That card is cute, but I'm going to case the witch for my Girl Scout spooktacular Oct 28. I know the girls will LOVE it. TFS
