All three of my boys played with my stamps over the years, and their girlfriends adored what they made. One is now a husband, father and electrician, one is an animator and getting married tomorrow and the last one is also an electrician and getting married in November. I have seen boys and men at stamp camp occasionally; it's just a form of art. As far as the chef goes, two of my close friends' sons (and friends of my "stamper sons") became chefs, and one was picked for a traveling competition job. I seriously wouldn't worry. - Gay Howe

I would let him stamp if he wants to stamp. I know some do not look on stamping as a manly thing to do, but there is a growing number of men that stamp and scrapbook. I am sure he will enjoy it.

YEAH!! Encourage him. DH stamps with me. It's not 'girly'!! If your DH brings it up, just say hey he asked to do this. He's not being feminine with it (his card is very boy!), so why worry??

My DH and 15 year old son helped me make christmas cards last year and my son has gone on to stamp cards for family members for special occasions. My 19 year old son stamped a wonderful card for his girl friend. Stamping is a wonderful hobby the whole family can do together. You never know what creativity may develop down the road.

Ok, I'm a professional... art teacher that is. I teach art to grades 1 through 4. I cannot stress enough how important it is to NOT discourage any kind of non harmful creativity! It is such an important part of a child's development. Art wise, stamping is a great way to develope good composition skills and color coordinating. Anyway, I glad your DH took well enough. Sounds like your son is going to be a very well rounded man someday. BOL!
