Okay, I know the catalogs are trickling in and everyone is making their wish lists. What is on your list?
I MUST HAVE everything (and I mean everything!) from the Retro Fresh line! Love those birds! The papers are gorgeous as always. I love the Friends 24-7 set and the sample they made using that set. I'm interested in the texture plates but not sure how they work with a cuttlebug. Does anyoen know? There are some things in the catty that I have shied away from before but I might try them now- rub ons, chipboard, etc. FUN!
Hey, you're preachin' to the choir, here, lol! I am in LOVE with so much in this carry; if only my wallet size matched my list size...
I have used texture plates in the CB. Way back when the CB first came out, Ellison was making these and I bought their BISK (Big Impressions Starter Kit) that included everything SU is showing...the silicone pad, rubber pad, etc. It is definitely a more subtle effect than the embossing folders, but I still liked it. Misting the paper beforehand breaks down the fibers a bit, which allows for more pronounced embossing.
I actually haven't tried them in my Big Shot yet, but I've heard it does a better job at embossing. Even so, I was perfectly happy with the texture I got using the CB.
Now, I just need to figure out what to sell off so I can buy new catty stuff, lol...those birds are calling me, too!
I started my list of stamp sets and it already is top to bottom of a sheet of paper and that was just a quick glance. I have to say, I am really liking more of the new stamp sets this catalog than the last.(Not that I didn't find more than enough to buy from the fall one.) I haven't even decided on accessory part, knowing that will be a bit of money too.
Easter Beauty
Totally Tool
Thoughts and Prayers
Hoppy for You
Trendy Trees
Branch Out
That's just my "realistic" wish list. If I could go crazy I'd have a list a mile long!
I usually don't care about the DP, but this time they have some super cute ones. I am very excited to host my first workshop of the year!!

NOT FAIR!!!!! We non-demos are here salivating with all you're talking about!!! Will be glad when the 18th gets here so we can have more peeks into the catalog.
Me too! I can't wait till the on-line catalog goes live on Monday.
It will be well worth your wait.
I too love all of the sets with any kind of tree in them..
Thoughts and Prayer
Branching Out
Trendy Trees
Funky forest wheel
In fact I think I am in love with almost every new wheel in this catalog. And all of the new Big Shot stuff and the DSP and the buttons and the list goes on and on.

I am loving the new DPs and the cordoroy buttons! I also really love Shellys personal stuff thruout the catty- my list is growing and growing! I amy have to find some OT at work soon!
Just Buzzin' By for me.. that will be the first set I order. I also really love Thoughts and Prayers.. which will be my second set. I love a lot of the new DP.. and will order lots of the Raspberry Tart-- Just love it! Luckily for me, this catalog didn't wow me. There are a handful of sets I really like, and a couple from the last catalog I didn't get yet.
Just got my new cattie a couple of days ago and several of the DPs are at the top of my list. I guess I've been stamping for so long that so many of the sets are very close to old sets I already have from SU. I'm admiring some of the flourish dies, also.

I want the new coffee set, both heart punches, the owl chipboard, and the rolodex die cut

I'm going ga-ga over the accessories. I love the new corduroy buttons and the color library clips. The new simply scrappin' kits are great too and the new specialty papers! And, of course, the new punches! And yes, there are a lot of stamp sets on my wish list, but they will just have to wait!
I have used the Fiskar plates with great success with my cuttlebug.
Here is my sandwich:
"A" plate
fiskar plate
paper
tan matt (from spellbinder)
"C" plate
Run thru back and forth, them remove.
The embossing is deep and beautiful. Don't worry if it seems hard to crank - it goes through fine. I have been lucky in the past finding the sets of Fiskar Plates on deep discounts at Target in the past, but now that they are coming back in vogue, there might be a run on them.
