The Bellas are grey rubber, and you should only need 1 decent sized block.

Check out this page which should give you all the info you need! http://www.stampingbella.com/bellacorner.php

Question Bellas mounted ?

I was going to buy a Bella stamp and I was wondering if they are already mounted. If they aren't, would I just have to buy the acrylic blocks that are sold on the Bella site? TYIA for the help!

nope, not mounted, Emily talks about it on her site and tells how to use them. Amy R. also has a blog entry about using unmounted stamps. I personally mounted mine on cling foam and then use the back of a SU stamp to stamp them (the cling foam sticks to the SU sticker), however I do have a set of clear blocks coming to me this week..YEAH

Thanks so much for answering me so quickly. I guess I should've read the site first. No biggie though. I'm going to try to buy only 1 or 2 Bella stamps. One for me and one for a secret someone.

You can mount them yourself....It's really not that hard. I have seen places online to buy wood blocks for stamps cut to the right sizes and all you would need is some foam! Before I went completely UM....I did this! ;)

EZ Mount adhers to the rubber part, but has cling on one side so that you can use an acrylic block. Em, the creator of Bellas suggests double sided tape with any block.

Default Got Bellas, Now What?

My mom ordered me quite a few of the Bella stamps, but she didn't realize they were unmounted pieces of rubber.

How do I attach these and what do I use? I assume they go on acrylic blocks, but perhaps she missed something when she ordered them...are wood blocks separate?

You can attach to wood blocks or acrylics. Did they come with foam if not you can order either the double sided adhesive foam or the adhesive foam for the acrylic blocks. You can try Sunday International they have both foams. I don't know if they have wood blocks though. I like the acrylics so use them and not the wood.

I have used Tack It Over and Over right on the back of the bella stamps. When it dries, the stamp is tacking and sticks to an acrylic block. I haven't used foam and the images seem to stamp well without it. I have also seen something in AC Moore by Wacky Tacky, which is the same type of adhesive and it comes with an acrylic block.

I simply put double sided tape on the back of my bella and stick her to an acrylic block. The rubber is deeply etched so I feel it doesn't need extra cushioning. This certainly saves time and money as you can use all your Bellas with just one block.

Works perfect every time.

If you go to the stamping bellas website she clearly explains what you need to do. Have fun with your new Bellas!

Default question about bellas and mounting...

I am ordering some bellas

I understand they come as just the rubber? I really like my stamps to be mounted on wood blocks. Can I use the foam cling stuff to mount them on wooden blocks? Has anyone else mounted theirs on blocks or just used acrylic blocks?? thanks!!!

I use EZ Mount so I mounted my Bellas on that, even though the Bella site says it's not necessary.

I bought the tack n peel that she sells and like it. It stays on the block and I just peel the cover off when I need to use it then stick the bellas on. But I found out I could get it cheaper in my LSS :(

Default Bella question

Please don't think this is a stupid question. I've been stamping for over a year now, but I just won my first Bella stamp at a shoebox swap. It's unmounted, and I have no idea what to do with unmounted stamps. I've only used SU!

Thanks for your help! She's awfully cute and I can't wait to use it!

some people dedicate an acrylic block for their unmounteds and use double sided tape or some other adhesive. I use ez mount foam -- sticks to the stamp on one side but clings temporarily to the acrylic block. You can buy a sheet for about $5.
