I totally get how to use a stampamajig, and it's awesome. I've heard that people use it to mount their stamps so that the SU sticker is aligned with where you put the rubber onto the block...or is it the other way around--sticker first, then rubber?
So if anyone wants to share how that's done, we'd love to hear from you!
I'm interested in this, too! I am a fuss-budget when I mount sentiment stamps - I want them exactly positioned so the words don't run uphill or downhill. Usually end up stamping the image many times on a lined sheet of paper to get it accomplished and then double check at the end with the stamp a ma jig. If there were some way to use the stamp a ma jig at the start of this project it would make it much simpler!
Subscribing in case someone has figured this one out....
I posted this before but the mods moved it and I know not where!....
sorry it is long...

True-Mounting using the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig
By charming
Cut out rubber image. Close. Mount to block any way you think is sensible
Place clear Positioning Sheet in the 'crook'/ 'T' of your Stamp-A-Ma-Jig Wand
Stamp clear Positioning Sheet with image, leave to one side.
Leave block in the crook of the Wand in the same position.
(if you make permanent templates or if this is a 2-Step Stampin image: Draw a Dot on the corner of the block that is in the crook. This is always the corner that will go into the crook. Just so that youll remember! )
Cut out sticker, close to image. Save a small sticker scrap strip to use as a piece of tape.
Unstick sticker
Flip over imaging sheet, but don't lay it down! It is wet!
Juggle! Just until you can put the sticker on the imaging sheet.
STICKY SIDE UP!
(wet side down !...like an inside-out jam & honey sandwich )
Wiggle it until it corresponds to image, then tape with a scrap of sticker to imaging sheet...just across one tiny corner & nearest to center of Positioning Sheet. No part of the sticker should be off the edge, trim if need be, re-align
Block should still be resting in the 'crook' of the wand, rubberside down in the same position as when the imaging sheet was stamped
Now just flip the Positioning Sheet over to its original position and place the corner in the 'crook' of the wand, and on top of the block, it should stick the label on! (scoot the tape off the corner and press)
Voila !
This Method of True-Mounting is good for checking the ambiguous letters in your previously mounted alphabet sets too!
Stamp the clear Positioning Sheet, then switch the block and Positioning Sheet . It is now on top of your sticker label and you can see how much your little 'L' (or flower stem or whatever) is out of whack. Great for lowercase 'B' , 'D' , 'P' , 'Q' or 'N' , 'U' or '6' ,'9' that are not somehow 'jiving' for you.
Master this, and if you are serious, You can graduate to True-Mounting for Two-Step and Three-Step Stampin' Sets ! A slightly fiddly, but crucial technique that is perfect for 'Simple Sketches' and 'Winter Rose' lovers EVERYWHERE because it allows for more repetition and quicker application of these and OTHER 2-step sets!!!
For anyone that has problems with their STAMP-A-MA-JIG!!!!
IT IS CRUCIAL TO NOTE HERE...
****check the foamy/neoprene rubber underneath the 'T'-shaped Wand (purple or black piece)****
IT IS CRUCIAL TO GOOD OPERATION THAT IT *MEETS* WITH THE EDGE OF THE WAND
****no border allowed****
if you have a border...this is why you have incorrect placement by an eighth of an inch
ALL THE TIME
...the clear Positioning Sheet is slipping underneath the Wand!!!!!
I have been able to slowly peel back rubber, almost all the way from the fat end to near the narrow end, and let it relax on the table for a while. Then carefully line it up and re-stick.
I've done this several times and have always had it work. If not, I'd probably take it back to SU! Demonstrator Support, but for me it hasn't come to that.

I'm not that patient to use Stamp-a-ma-jig but sometimes have laid the rubber image sticky side up on top of the sticker label to get it to match the angle with "stampin up" at the bottom and then put the wood on top of it -then peeled the sticker off it's backing paper and put it onto the wood. It's not perfect but it gets my images to match the picture. I can't stand it when the larger flower petal is out of place, or a curlique is up instead of down, etc.....
I also cut off the 'copyright Stampin' Up!'
and put it on the side...
you won't believe how much of a distraction it is when you are eyeballing...
it makes the most difference with phrases and alphas...
try it and see!
