I made two Mother's Day cards and can't decide which one I like better. I'm not even sure if I like either of them. Please let me know which one you like best. Also if you have any suggestions, let me know! TIA! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
These are gorgeous cards! If I had to choose one it would be #1 . The background is more subtle so the rose stands out more. I'd be happy to receive either one.
They are both gorgeous works of the heart (and fab colouring!!) but I like the first one just a little more than the second. The contrast between the red and white with the print pattern BG is a little too high. If you stamped PP on ruby red instead of white, or some colour more similar in tone then it might work a little more smoothly. (Or even old olive PP on old olive CS -- just a crazy thought. Might look a little too Xmas then, though.)

I think that's what I had in my head before I put it on paper. I thought about going back and sponging Ruby Red over the background to get rid of the contrast.
I just added the 1st one to my favorites! I can't get over this card. I might have to case it (if you don't mind) I don't have stipple rose but I should have some other stamp that would work....
How did you get the sponging to be so dramatic around the rose?
