I am on a stamp diet. I just made my last splurge and then I'm taking a break for a while. I am kind of an all or nothing kind of girl. I know if I get one or two or three, I'll go to use them and think, oh wait, I need this one too, oh wait I gotta have that too! I know how my mind works, so I'm just staying away from temptation all together!! They are very cute though!

Don't you remember the big "M" that Mary had on her wall? I still think they're cute though!

I don't remember that, but then, my mother would tell you I was a very unobservant person. I visited a couple times and week when I lived near her. I remember one time I went in her house commenting on her tulips. She was less than pleased with me because they had been up for a week or so. Oops.

They are NOT my thing. I think they are way too big. I am happy with my Headline Alpha, it's plenty big for me.

Bought 3 and probably will buy 2 more. Just initials for myself, daughters, and husband. Probably use them in scrap book pages, don't know about cards. I'll be getting the ones I ordered next week and will see if I really like them enough to splurge on more.

It will be interesting to see the results of this poll, and then to do the same poll about a month or two after the mini is out. How many times before have we resisted stamp sets only to see samples that make us want them?

I remember all the talk when the headline and letterpress first came out ...a lot of people said that they were too big or too pricey. Now the larger size alphabets are the biggest selling alphabets for SU!

I plan to buy several and share with my friends, family and stamp club

Plus they will be great for all the poster board projects my kids will be doing in the next couple of years at school.

Can't justify the price for something that would have such a limited use in my crafting so I won't be buying.

I liked the show - and I liked Mary's "M". I thought I'd like to have one too when I grew up and had a neat apartment like that. ;)

Thirty years later I'm over that.

Rather than the giant alphas, I've been hoping for more of the tiny alphas that have been in the mini catalogs lately. I'm still waiting for an upper/lower font I really like, preferably a script.

I put down undecided. I have seen some really cute cards in the gallery done with them. However I am thinking I could buy lots of paper at Archivers for what I would pay for 2 or 3 die cut letters and use their die cut machine for free and achieve the same effect.

I put not buying. I can't justify the cost and I think I'd rather put my money into one of the larger alpha sets instead and have alllllllll the letters!
I've seen some cute cards and scrap pages though.

I like them, but cannot justify the price. I know myself well enough to say that I wouldn't be able to stop at just a few, but like it has been said in other posts I'd rather buy one or two of the larger alpha sets and get all the letters.

Not buying any - would rather invest my money in the WISHBLADE - and some are planning on buying all of them, you can get the wishblade for less than the price of all of them, and you can do so much more for it. What is the Wishblade? It's some tool you use with your computer that will diecut words and you can use your own fonts, make your own items, like tags. Will cut anything up to 8". www.wishblade.com (not trying to highjack this thread) Someone just told me about this...very cool tool! There are many people out there selling all their sizzix stuff to get this item.

Not my thing. Happy with headliners. Can't believe UP would put them in the mini and then have them retire in a couple of months.

Oh, I feel so OLD! I think I'll go toss my beret in the air while wearing my cute mini-skirt with matching coat & scarf! I might just make it after all.

I'll buy a few. They're great for scrapbooking along with the other large alphas.

I resemble that remark...you aren't the only one who remembers Mary Tyler Moore. Of course I am cursing you because it's midnight and I have the Mary Tyler Moore Show theme song running through my head ;)

If I get any, I'll have to get all. But it's whether or not I can justify that amount before the end of May. Sigh....
