Default Michael's Gift Cards

Does anyone know if you have a gift card from Michaels purchased in Canada, can you use it in the States?

Thanks,

Mel

Check the fine print on the back of the card. It should say something there. Or try looking on the website to see if there is something on there.

Thank you Jeri. I will do check the back when I receive it for christmas. I'm heading down to the states right after Christmas and will definitely heading to Michaels where I can get more bang for my buck.

I know that you can't use ones purchased in the US here in Canada. I won one as a prize and tried - no luck. So I would imagine that no, as they told me the systems aren't linked.

I asked in one of the US stores while down shopping and they told me they couldn't accept a Canadian card. The Canadian stores are technically a subsidiary, almost if they were two separate companies. The same applies to Walmart's gift cards - can't use US cards in Canada and can't use Canadian cards in the USA.

Thanks everyone. It would have been nice to be able to save some money.
