I apologize if this has already been discussed--the search feature is not working for me...
Anyway, these last few weeks, I get my Michael's coupon in my email, flag it, then come back to it to print it out if I am going to town. It keeps saying that it has exceeded the viewing limit..What a crock!
I don't print it unless I need it...I am not going to waste paper and ink!? So if I don't print it out immediately, I am out of luck?
Is this happening to anyone else??
I have a good mind to email them about this....
Michael's is like a nasty family member to me...not happy unless they are causing some kind of drama...
If you want to save your coupon for later you can always print it to a pdf file. You will need to install a pdf print driver (primopdf, cutepdf, these are two free one, lots of them on the net). Then when you click on the print button, instead of printing on a real printer, select the pdf printer and it will save it as a pdf file for you and you can then print it out as many times as you want.
Alternatively, if you don't want to install a print driver, then you can take a screen shot (hit the print screen button - this will paste a picture of your desktop to the clipboard) then open Word and paste the picture into the document. You can edit the picture and crop out the extraneous stuff and resize the coupon.
I think what happens is that sometimes someone posts a direct link to the Michael's coupon (instead of to a jpeg of it, etc.) and then thousands and thousands of people click on the coupon link, then causing the coupon to "exceed viewing limits".
Jeanette, thanks for the right-click jpeg tip!! I had always saved it as a jpeg a long, roundabout way!!
Hopefully, it will work for me better in the future, with these great tips!
And do they realize how many people get the email, click on it, see what it is, then close it and come back to it later?? I bet most people don't even print the first time they click!
Keri
You can also right-click on the image of the coupon and save it as a jpeg.
I've never been able to do this with any of the Michaels coupons, that why I always either print screen or save to pdf. I can do it on just about any other site that doesn't have it disabled. Wonder why I can't do on mikes coupons and other people can. :???:hmmmm..... I think its a conspiracy to keep me out of michaels by my husband....
