Michaels ad-ribbon for $1

has anyone bought this-they have ribbon in this weeks ad for $1...I was wondering how much and if anyone has bought/used it and if they like it =)

Our Michael's has had it on "sale" for $1 for about 3 weeks. I always look through it but don't usually find much I can use. Much of it is a wider width and I just can't seem to do a thing with it. If you want to CASE cards from here alot of the ribbon is 1/4inch wide (or smaller?) except the organdy, but I haven't seen any of that type ribbon in the $1 bin. Micheal's does sell some ribbon for $1.99 per roll that is super cute - even some in the same designs sold by SU (ginghams in blue, pink, black). I bought a ton of that and have used it alot. I'm sure lots of people have found great finds and great uses for the ribbon there - I just can't seem to work any of it on my cards. You might as well go look - its always worth a look!!

This is what I bought. I have used some of it and can't wait to use more. I thought it was a good buy as an embellishment, but I still love SU! coordinating ribbons too. To each his own. The pink one doesn't show up great in the scanned image, but is a really fluffy fiber ribbon - it's cute.

Edited to add: The rolls are between 3 and 5 yards...

I just got back from there...and lets just say that thier $1 special isn't...special. I didn't see anything I could incorporate into my ideas. I did however buy other ribbons...of course the ones I wanted were NEXT to the $1 rolls. :lol:

I've been picking up the $1 ribbon for a few weeks now. The selection is not all that great. I really have to dig through the bin to find something I like. Usually the best rolls have come unwound throughout the bin. Tonight I did manage to find some nice gold and copper ribbon I hadn't seen in there before.
