hi ladies..
i was wondering if anyone of you had seen a MFT coupon code
i want to order just 2 dies and shipping is $6.50 which i find really expensive.
At this point i am really not sure if i want to order with a company who's shipping rates are that out of porportion

I don't think they offer discounts often, Claudia... did you try writing to them directly? Maybe they would be willing to work with you. Sometimes websites calculate postage based on price, not weight.
Hey to you too! I'm doing OK, besides getting over a 24 hour flu bug. We are still in the States (until July) and getting ready to hit the road again in a few weeks... the constant change and lack of routine get tiring, but it has been good to see friends and family as we travel.

We offer only flat rate shipping, regardless of the number of items ordered. We also do not charge a higher shipping cost (on US orders) for card stock.
I completely understand that this seems high on one or two items, but please remember as well that we offer free US shipping on all orders over $65.
I hope that your wish list will grow and you'll be able to take advantage of that offer. :-)
Also, in response to your coupon code question, we do not generally hold sales, but instead offer two on-going promotions; the Triple Scoop and the Cherry on Top.

I have also received several emails regarding our flat postage rate of $6.50 for US orders, so want to address that as well. While I understand that it seems expensive when ordering an item or two, I want to go over the thought process behind this charge so you will better understand how we have arrived at this figure. USPS currently charges $4.90 for a flat rate envelope via Priority Mail, and with our new shipping policy, we are insuring each order that is shipped via USPS, which is a minimum of $.80 per shipment. The insurance cost goes up in tandem with the amount of products purchased, but again, the minimum charge is $.80 for the insurance Company we use.
Claudia, I happened to win a voucher in this month's release party. Maybe watch for when the next release party will be, and make a point of joining in for a chance to win via random comments or trivia. you can also play along in the Wednesday sketches for a chance to win. That extra $10 or $20 voucher will cover shipping AND part of your die. ;)
Otherwise, I will likely put my voucher to use next month after the release. I could add your items to my cart and when they arrive just mail them to you at the cheapest option (maybe uninsured if you prefer? WI to MI shouldn't be too pricey), and you can just paypal me money for the cost of the dies and actual shipping cost. I won't have enough to reach free shipping, but maybe between the two of us the shipping won't feel so bad to you. I'd echo Makalah - I was lucky enough to win the WSC one week last year, paid my carriage and then some.
And as an overseas shopper, I LOVE the way MFT offer a reduced rate for international shipping on orders that only contain dies and/or stamps.

Thank you for posting this Jody. I have seen that thread before but I always thought it was an older challenge because of the date it was posted on by stampinjewelsd. Didn't realize she was just editing the post and adding a new sketch on wednesdays.

Sorry to confuse you. Here is why the dates will always look a little off and a pointer on how to always find the most recent (and current) WSC thread:
*The current thread will always be "stuck" near the top of the forum with a little "pin" on the same line as the thread title. Also, there is always a link posted in the previous thread for the next one, so if you follow a thread, you'll know the new one is ready.
*The reason the dates are crazy is because MFT has a "secret design team forum area" on SCS. That enables us to start the threads early and allow the design team to add their cards early, so when it is moved over to the "viewable" forum, there is already plenty of eye-candy ready for you. It is not the same thread, edited, but a thread that was created quite a bit earlier than it is actually posted.
