I can't wait to place an order on May 1 - when I found out the papers would be on sale....I immediately came up with a bunch of projects that would 'need' them- especially the black glossy striped paper - LOVE that!

I believe you are correct in that if any were out of stock it would be a backorder only. We still have 2 months for this catalog so I doubt SU! would just let any of the designs be gone.
yes, the starter kit for the US is just $75 (though it is a modified kit) - that is a heck of a deal. I think I have seen it mentioned on Canadian and Aussie blogs too - but the prices for other countries vary.

I am looking at Bella Rose, Good Morning Sunshine and Tea Party the most. I am going to get a few packs of each & probably at least a pack of each textured cardstock.
I am going to stock up on the paper when it goes on sale tomorrow! I think a lot of people are. Wonder if they will have enough to fulfill all our orders!!! I am going to order first thing!!!
The $75 sign up deal is a great deal!!! I just signed up at the $169 price. When I first saw it my mouth dropped but then I saw it was a smaller package! I am glad they did it like that. I don't regret signing up at the $169 price. There have been lots of people thinking about signing up, maybe this $75 deal will bring them to the dark side! lol

Does anyone have details on this "smaller" demo starter kit?
I'm in my SU demo person's stamp club. Due to shipping I have to spend FIFTY dollars in order to get the paper special!!!!!!! AARRGGHHH....really don't want to spend $50.00 this month. SO may have to pass this deal up!!!!

This is for the $75 Scrapbooking Demo Starter Kit. It's basically a much smaller version of the Demonstrater Starter Kit for SU! It's not an add-on to the full starter kit (like the Stampin' Memories $50 add-on), but an independent starter kit.
It's a great way to become a SU! demo without a huge investment. Definitely a great time to try it! I've found being a demo to be very rewarding.
I'm getting Tea Party, Bella Birds, Parisian Breeze, and To The Nines. If finnances permit, I may order later in the month and get some textured card stock.

You can mix and match whatever quantity or type you want as long as it is 12 x 12 DSP or textured CS. You don't have to buy the same kind of CS per order. Also, there is no limit on any order. So you can order 6 packages of 12 x 12's, you will get 2 free. But 9 get 3 free and so on. Go ahead and stock up.
Also, this is a special where it will not be "sold out". You just have to buy it by May 31 for the sale. But that doesn't mean that there won�t be back orders. The CS will be available until the new catty comes out and then we really don't know what one will retire. But if they have the new In Colors in them, they will be retired most likely.
There is one alphabet set being offered on a sneak peak sale that will be 20% off during the month of May. I love the set.
I would think that this information should be on the SU customer site tomorrow. I looked today and a friend and it was not there.

I see the special sign up for $75 on SU's website but it's no more clear to me. I am not a demonstrator at this time. If I signed up with the $75 kit right now would that make me a SU (stamp) demonstrator or would it limit me to the scrapbooking stuff? Does anyone know?
