I just went to M's to pick up a Scraps, Paper, Scissors Mini Organizer with a J's 50% off coupon ($10). There was a whole display of the MS spring and summer line, including Fourth of July items which were "on sale". The three pack of Fourth glitter was $7 and the flower card embellishments were $3 to give you an idea of the prices. When I asked the clerk about the display, she said they were seasonal clearance merchandise.
...was it merchandise that was previously full priced ???...
Yes. It was the regular stuff which I had seen on the shelves before today. There were paper flowers, favor boxes, bandana paper packs, and much more. I make chocolates so I bought two packagess of the favor boxes for $3 each for packaging chocolates.
...that's interesting...maybe it isn't selling as well as they thought it would...martha on sale...imagine that...:rolleyes:
The clerk did say there would be no coupon use or "sales" for the MS line. She called this a "seasonal clearance". ;) I was happy to pick up the boxes for my chocolates for $3 per package no matter what they call it.
I just got a package of cards for $3, and flowers for $3. I think that was less that 1/2 of the original. The clerk said she was surprised that they were on sale, also.

I just have to share that I just bought the pack of the glitter on sale for $7! Which is great because it was $14! And for each individual bottle they are 4.99 so basically 1 got 1 for free, and then the 2nd for a little more than 1/2 price and then paid full price for the other. So it was a great deal.
M's in Canada is having a "clearance" on some MS stuff as well...didn't see any glitter...mostly some stickers, one clear alphabet (stars), some glittery letters, and those crazy puppet making kits...I think there was a belt making kit and a necklace kit too...didn't buy anything but I was surprised to see the markdown too.
Whoo hoo! Thanks for the heads up - I got the glitter - awesome, plus 2 cute accordian books for each. Also, I purchased some of her blank cards envelopes that were on sale for $3.
Martha knows glitter, I would hustle to your Mikes and grab this set. It's sterling, lapis, and garnet (silver, blue, red).
I just got back from my local Mike's and while I did buy a few things of Martha's I didn't see the sale prices. :(
This is the first time I have bought anything of hers and I have to admit... as much as I didn't want to I like a lot of her stuff. I bought a package of 8.5 x 11 cardstock and I LOVE the colors! Bought a punch and twill tape as well and plan to go back for more next payday.
